Road Kill of the Day

A woman died and a man was seriously injured Monday in a head-on collision on a Tulsa highway, and two other men were seriously injured in a crash involving a cement mixer on another Tulsa highway.

The fatal crash occurred when a Jeep Wrangler pulled from the U.S. 75 median onto the highway near Apache Street and hit a southbound Chevrolet Silverado about 3:40 p.m., Tulsa Police Officer Jason Willlingham said.



Stats are catching up, people.  2 die EVERY day in Oklahoma because of motor vehicles.

Are you saying that our concrete trucks should be bicycle powered or that had the concrete truck run into a cyclist it would not have resulted in a fatality?

IP, my morbidly favorite thing about that picture is that the cop car has apperently swerved OUT of the way of the oncoming car.  Nice.

That's what happens when you ride in a pack, it's like a herd of cows, they probably weren't even looking out for cars.

I know it's wrong to laugh at that picture, but it has to be the funniest thing I've seen all week.  I imagine Darwin looking on with pleasure.

And Tay, "MAKE my DAY" please...you ride a bike all day long for God's sake, you dress in a santa suit and whore yourself out for a dollar.

I've told you before, I have no ill will towards you and actually find you mildly amusing, but I don't think the city of Tulsa would shed any tears if the day came that you got turned into a Santa suit covered sausage patty.  

All I can say is milk it for what it's worth because you're in a high risk hobby.

I'm glad someone finds me AMUSING.  I don't think I'm all that funny.  I actually ENJOY spouting off the latest motorist road kill stories to counter GENIUSES who go around spouting off about how dangerous biking is.  Pretty morbid stuff, I'd say.

According to OHSO stats, another TWO motorists will die TODAY in Oklahoma.  According to AAA, another 247 motorists will die on AMERICAN streets in the next couple of days.  By the end of this year, 10 times more will die on AMERICAN streets than on Iraqi streets from the last FIVE years.

Yep.  It's DANGEROUS out there, people.  SLOW DOWN.
