Did you see that Bob Dylan is going to play the Cain's on August 27th?
Power is nothing till you use it.

I've seen Dylan live a few times, I'm not impressed.  He's too loud and grizzled.  He was impressive on the Time Out of Mind tour of PAC's, but generally it's just loud guitar (only seen him the 2 times to be honest).

Carrie Underwood is another huge act for the arena.  Great job by the management company.

I bet SMG was planning another "announcement" and got scooped.

Well, I agree with Breitee.  I don't want the BOk center to fail, but they are certainly targeting a certain demographic really hard.  Nothing thus far for the 18-40 year old non-country fan really.

I'm not really complaining, I think what they have signed will do well.  It's just not my cup of tea nor many other people in that vast demographic I listed above.

I really don't care. Why the hell does everything in this town have be country music or nothing? There are so many other types of music out there and all we hear from the Bok center is another country act coming to town. Come on, broaden your horizons people!

Carrie Underwood has already sold something like 15 million albums, and her singles keep popping up in the pop charts.

It's safe to say that she's gone beyond being simply a country singer. If Carrie Underwood is square, then the whole nation is.

High water everywhere"

So, you won't be there to bring the room down?

Considering that there are more country music FM stations than any other genre in Tulsa. I would assume that country is the most popular music form in our area. You can't deny that it has strong roots here. That's just the way it is. I am just waiting on a really cool show that would really interest me. (besides the Circus...I love the circus!)

I am not a fan of country, but we are in Oklahoma...

Can we please get something worth a crap at the Arena???!!!!!

I am tired of driving to Dallas and St. Louis to see good bands play. ( However, Radiohead at the Riverport in St. Louis was a phenomenal show)
