The latest NEWSWEEK Poll shows Barack Obama with a 15-point lead over McCain.

"Obama's personal ratings have improved, as well: 62 percent of voters overall say they have a favorable opinion of him compared to only 26 percent who have an unfavorable opinion. By comparison, McCain's ratings are 49 percent favorable to 37 percent unfavorable, representing a drop from his previous 54 percent favorable rating. In the previous poll, coming at a time when Clinton's attacks on him were still fresh in Democrats' minds, Obama's favorability ratings were just 55 percent favorable versus 40 percent unfavorable. In the new survey, Clinton supporters' view of Obama have turned solidly positive (70 percent favorable versus 18 percent unfavorable)."

Will America be a Muslim nation? Be very scared...[}:)][;)]

Be it only one poll, it is looking like a landslide.

Unless, we get a surprise. Like an attack......on Iran.

Indeed! Crazy stuff. Stay out front on the smears and the fears! It's the only tricks in their bags and they're behind by 15. Play it out ..... landslide unless....

It's crazy, but it's coming soon – from the same folks who brought us Iraq.

"So far it has been a handful of senior military officers that have kept us from war with Iran. "

"I would argue that perhaps the most effective way to prevent air and missile attacks on Iran and a wider Middle East war is to proceed as Elizabeth Holtzman urges – with impeachment "forthwith."

"Ray McGovern works with Tell the Word, the publishing arm of the ecumenical Church of the Saviour in inner-city Washington.  He was Army intelligence/infantry officer and a CIA analyst for 27 years, and now serves on the Steering Group of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)."

Of course Hillary was ahead by that much at one time wasn't she?

I walked into a conversation yesterday where one of the McCain faithful was busy telling a young medical assistant that Obama was a strong supporter of partial birth abortion. That, she said is why she supported McCain and could never vote for the Clintons or Obama.

I asked her where she got her info as I could not remember seeing that on the Obama or Clinton websites. Seems that would have been noted by lots of people during the primaries. The internet of course. But not the Obama website. I told them they might as well have read it on a bathroom wall and to find reputable web sites or other sources.

I then told them that unlike the republican platform, the democratic platform is in line with most people's opinions that abortions are regrettable but should be allowed for cases of incest, rape or the health of the mother. Still a court protected, personal decision and hardly the litmus test for a candidate that represents the whole country on thousands of issues.

She nodded her head and said, "anyway, that's why I'm voting McCain" and haughtily left the room. If people want to believe smear, they never let the facts get in their way.

It is looking like a banner year for the Dems.
