I was told this morning by a co worker that he was arrested recently for DUI and hit and run. I haven't heard anything about it.  I ask, because they specifically mentioned that he looked "rough" in his mugshot.  I know he visited some members at a downtown bar awhile back, so I am wondering if anyone else has heard?

I really hate seeing this.

I feel bad for him and don't like the thought that he'll probably read all these hurtful comments.

He seems like a nice guy and he made a big mistake. Hope he doesn't lose his job and will get the help and support he needs.

Good luck, Jerry.

Ditto.  I'm just glad he didn't kill anyone like Kimberly Graham.

On a first offense DUI, the charge is usually reduced to reckless driving.  Hopefully, he didn't blow.

On the hit-n-run, I don't know how the judge will roll.  Maybe the judge will throw the book at him, nab driver's license, and make him ride a bike?  Naaaaaaaaaah.

I agree. He made a mistake and we'll see how it plays out. It wasn't until the 33rd DUI that author guy got before anyone "started seeing a pattern."

The okieshooters link doesn't work for me.

Shouldn't judges make drunks ride bikes as condition of probation?  Help me out, people!

Also, cretins show up in traffic court on charges of suspended licenses, no liability, and revokes.  How did they get to court in the first place?  And, how do they leave?

Shouldn't the judges at least ASK?  Naaaaaaaaah.

I hope he is OK.

He made a mistake. He probably deserves a second chance.

He is a good journalist and a positive member of our community. He is involved in non-profit work and has a history of using his job as a way to help others.
