The man resigns, yet we continue to pay him due to his contract? pancakes? When the man resigned, I'd say his contract became null and void.

I'm sure that $400,000 couldn't be used to improve our schools, give teachers a raise, buy new computers, or something that might BENEFIT the kids.

The settlement does seem odd.

If everybody wants the guy gone, why give him 90 days? I am a member of a national non-profit board and our leader just resigned. We agree to seven days. Is there nobody who can do his work getting the school ready? Do we really want a guy who is out to be making all those decisions?

The $400,000 seems like a lot, but that is just because I am poor.

I look at it like a divorce. Why do divorces cost so much? Because they are worth it.

Well, to continue the divorce analogy, TPS has got to get remarried in a hurry.  A nasty separation fight would have made it much more difficult to quickly find the most desirable available candidate.

My wife saw on some news channel that he made a public announcement that he wouldn't be accepting any bonuses that might be due to him.

Wow!!!  Thanks Zolkowski. You should not accept the $400k & let someone do some good with it.

Can you blame him?

Kirby Lehman in Jenks is retiring next year as well.
