That should spark some memories.

Not for me, of course, I was too young for that place back in the day. [8)] [:)]

2 new bars in the Brady District.
Crystal Pistol, 417 N. Main, Tulsa, Crystal Pistol LLC;

Marquee, 222 N. Main, Tulsa, Marquee on Main LLC.

That's good news for the area.  Also it looks like  Dusty Dog Pub will fill in some of the area at 51st and Harvard where businesses are bing forced to move.   Anyone know if these are restructures/new owners or all actually new establishments, bars or restaurants?

Article anout the Crystal Pistol...not that I ever went there when it was on Sheridan and I was underage, ether...

...Marc Matheos, whose former restaurant operations include Ciao, co-owns with his brother Zachary Matthews a basement club downtown, the Celler Dweller – another memorable name from the past.

"I guess I'm on this kick of bringing back names of well known old bars," said Matheos.

"I'm also going to open a Crystal Pistol, like the one that used to be on North Sheridan, in late spring next to Cain's Ballroom."...

That's 'cause you weren't UNDERAGE!!

I think the Marquee was the old Mooch and Burn.

Is the cafe next door open for dinner or lunch?  Sorry, I don't know the name of it off the top of my head.  Just saw a sign outside the other day.

buckeye

The little cafe is called the "White Rabbit".  As for the Marquee/Mooch and Burn, I have no idea how that place keeps operating.

FAIK, The Crystal Pistol was always up on N. Sheridan near the 727 club.

Whiskers, hand't thought of that place in years.  How about 20th Century Electric Company?

I was once on a championship softball team put together by a local businessman who just wanted trophies (yes, I was once a good athlete).

We were sitting around talking and drinking some beers between games of a tournament and found out that six of the players admitted to meeting their wives at 20th Century Electric Company.

These were all people who didn't know each other before the tournament, yet shared that bizarre story. Talk about a meat market of a bar...

You're right it was north Sheridan. As for Whiskers it moved into a place between Lee's Famous Recipe and the little center that had an adult book store in it. 20th Century, wow there is one I haven't thought of in a long time. I played hockey at the Four Seasons ice rink next door to it, my parents also ran the only hockey shop in Tulsa from 1973 to '81 or '82.

That was back before Kitchell became the big DB he is today.
