Don't Forget To Fire Randi Miller Today

Agree RM.  Open government is key to either stopping the crap that saw Bell's removed or will let us know what the deal was/is.

But on the smaller government thing - I want smaller government.  While I fear many people who proclaim their intentions will not live up to them (Bush), do I just ignore everyone who says it?  You see my dilema.

In any event.  Bell may not be the best person for the job, but to me Miller proved she was not a person for the job at all.

Would be interesting to see the stats on how many voters in that district changed political affiliations prior to the primary.

A tactic used many times is to defeat the better qualified of two candidates early on in the primary.

Keep in mind only the yellow republican ballot had Sally Bell and Randi Miller to vote on.  The Democratic ballot only had two races with four candidates.

How much does that job pay, and what are the required hours?

So you are suggesting that a majority of the 7,000 votes above what Miller got were Democrats that switched parties to sink her?  Something like 33% of the Republican electorate were democrats who switched party affiliations to sabotage the Republican party?

If that's the theory, it's amazingly far out there for a number of reasons (statistics, history, dislike of Miller).

If you can't even get 20 percent of the vote in an election for THE PARTY YOU REPRESENT, then I think it's safe to say that disdain for Randi Miller was bipartisan.

Miller got hammered so badly, conspiracy theories simply don't apply here.

Double A

I think Sally Bell will surprise everyone come November. I know plenty of Dems who don't trust KK, and won't vote for her.

I know it is hard to believe, but we must just run in different groups of people.

I haven't met a single democrat that doesn't like and/or support Karen Keith for County Commissioner. I looked at her contributors (which included my wife) and it represents almost every democrat active in the Tulsa Democrat party.

I talk politics way too much (my six-year old can name her representatives) and I dragged my son to two good sized democrat watch parties last night. I talked about Obama, Andrew Rice and Karen Keith chances with everybody. I found democrats relucant on both the other guys but positive about her.

I am not going to bag Sally Bell yet. I have to research her views before I have a good opinion of her.

I think that politicians who run on platforms to shrink government generally don't. President Bush kept saying it, yet the federal government is 20% bigger than when he took office.

I want to see just where she plans to address cuts. Where exactly in the budget will she cut? What employees does she plan to eliminate and what county functions does she deem unnecessary?

I do really like her comments on opening up county government and having meetings at night so citizens can attend.

I heard first cut was abolishing the MET.  [}:)]

I think either candidate brings something to the table and either one will be a huge improvement over Randi's incompetence.  I just hope Randi stays out of any major decisions between now and November as a lame duck.

With Sally's family reputedly being involved with the John Birch society, their small government views are sincere and are nothing new.  I don't see the nefariousness to JBS that others try to attach of it being a racist hate group.  JBS was against the CRA's of the 1960's due to the belief that American communists were backing the CRA's.  There is nothing overtly racist in their policy and platform that I've read.

Karen is for more efficient government and streamlining where practical.  She has had a very good view of how city and county government does and does not work.  She also knows the ins and outs of V-2025 which is kind of important considering we are five years into that now.

Karen's biggest challenge will be overcoming those who are still trying to block 2025 in their minds and those who were pissed about the river tax.

Sally was never on public record on V-2025 nor the river tax that I'm aware of, so she can claim she supported neither, that's an advantage to some voters.  Sally's biggest challenge will be getting voters to believe she really wants the office and will give 100% effort, especially in the midst of re-building the family dream.

Karen will be able to easily attract quite a few GOP votes.  I don't think Sally will have as easy a time in November.

I 100% agree.

Karen is just one of those incredibly likable persons.

I remember when she worked for republican Mayor Bill LaFortune. There were plenty of times when she had to go to a meeting and represent the Mayor's office. Under most situations, the others in the room are a little disgruntled that the Mayor would be gone, but with Karen, her charm always made everybody ok.

She has always been very positive and worked hard in her efforts.

Karen Keith could charm the spots off a leopard.

That just makes her a more effective paid paladin, pimping for the local power elite.

She was equally happy selling Vigo dogfood as a TV personality, or pimping Vision 2025 as a tax-payer paid spokeswoman for Mayor MisFortunate.

What a maroon, hiring a Democrat when he says he's a Republican Mayor.  RINO taint.

You don't see Gov. Bad Brad Henry making that mistake.  Just true-blue Democrats in his Administration.

The next move will be for the local power establishment to open their checkbooks, and POUR money into Karen K. Keith's Kounty Kommissioner campaign.

Look for her to raise and spend over $200K.  Easily.

The local ruling Power Oligarchy are afraid of someone not under their total control holding high local public office.

They had a bit of a close call back in 1986 when outsider Tom Quinn knocked off their incumbent Mayor Terry Young (another former local TV personality).

The ruling power elite had to quickly change gears to throw all their support to "Dickless" Dick Crawford, who served one-term as Mayor.

And, before County Commissioner Randi Miller was thrown into the 2006 Tulsa Mayoral election as a Spoiler candidate, Conservative City Councilor Chris Medlock had a reasonable chance of knocking off unpopular incumbent RINO Mayor Bill MisFortunate in the GOP primary.

Sinator Big Jimbo Inhofe and Paragon of Virtue (former)ORU President Richard Roberts twisted her arm to get into the race to DOUBLE the chances that the local ruling power establishment would continue their unbroken control of the Mayor's Office.

Remember, as a former County elected officer told me, saying:

"FB, EVERY deal at the County is a bent deal".

The place needs fumigating, and Sally Bell will bring the roach spray.

Reform the Tulsa County government operations?

Target Rich Environment.............

Definitely.

1.  Since an anonymous 'official' told an anonymous blogger it all must be so!

2. Just saying, Sally did a great job keeping Bell's looking sharp and growing . . .

If the Tulsa County GOP Leadership had even HALF a brain, they would try to capitalize on  the Voter mood displayed in Tuesday's election regarding the thrashing Sally Bell gave the local power establishment incumbent Randi Miller.

81.5% vote against the power establishment incumbent should be a bell-ringer moment, if the GOP Leadership are listening.

It's SALLY BELL's campaign locally that may have some coattails come November.

Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Inhofe need to think about that, in regards to their own re-election campaigns.  As well as those state House and Senate candidates whose districts overlap Tulsa County Commissioner District #2.

Thinking JOINT campaign appearances?

And, alignment with a common Sally Bell campaign message.....Transparency?  Accountability?  Honesty?

Luckily for the local Democrat Party leadership, the local GOP Leadership is probably asleep again as usual, or busy being Wheeler-Dealers gaming the System, instead of Square Dealers.......to paraphrase Michael Bates.

Sally Bell didn't win on her "Transparency, accountability, honesty" theme.  She won because Randi Miller is a fool who was constantly in controversy trouble brought on by herself.  People across party lines got tired of Randi Miller's ego and belief that she can do whatever she wants because of her position.

Sally Bell represents at best the stalwart 27% GOP fanatics and raised stiff arm brown shirts that are so visible in Tulsa. Inhofe and Sullivan may face the wrath of voters over the obvious failed past decade of their party's leadership in congress and the white house but it won't have anything to do with Bell opening their eyes with promises of transparency, honesty and accountability.

It's really quite simple to understand.

Randi Miller's BRAND quit selling new tax increases to the voters.

Same as Susan Savage's brand.

Serial lies and half-truths about Politicians  brand quality eventually causes the voters to dump that brand, and find another.

And, the clever marketers at Snakey, Turncoat and Flake are always ready with a new Brand.

So, the local ruling power Oligarchy has a fresh, shiny, new Brand waiting in the wings, just waiting for the Lorton's World and Channel 862 to sell you a new Brand.

THEIR Brand.

They had the "Reformer" Bill LaFortune, County Commissioner Bob Dick, and TV personality Karen Keith Brands to help sell the Vision 2025 tax.

Now, they have Kathy Taylor and Karen Keith as their new fresh, new Brands to sell other tax increases.

Why?  Because they NEED to FEED their GREED.

Really, it's so simple.

It's all about Marketing and Brand loyalty.
