You don't see Gov. Bad Brad Henry making that mistake.  Just true-blue Democrats in his Administration.

I'd have to disagree, he did appoint Kathy Taylor as commerce secretary when she had contributed to Largent previously. Of course, he only did so after she paid a pretty penny to his campaign coffers.

That is an incredibly high standard for political fidelity.  Have you considered going independent? You will be much happier.

I think we're all a little confused here. I called Tim, Gaspar. Tim called me something and then held his nose. FB responded to that and Tim called one of us Nazi. FB assure us he isn't Nazi and represents the forsaken proletariat. Is that right?

I think we're up to the third grade right now.

You started it. [;)]  I was facetiously calling FB a Nazi.  At this point I am scared of disagreeing with you much less agitating you. [:D]

No you're not. The only thing afraid of me is my dog and he knows he can outrun me if he has to. I get beat up around here all the time. Comes with the territory.

The real question here is, "who voted to retain Miller?" Find them, yank their voter registration cards and send them to evening school.[:D]

I am very proud of the Tulsa County GOP grassroots.  That is encouraging.  County Dems should only be so independent.  Of course, without KOTV's hatchet pieces Her Repugnance would still be in office.

Who were Miller's supporters? Probably folk who are doing alright and are generally pleased with where the County is heading. 90% of incumbents are re-elected because voters go off name recognition and she has been around [ahem] for some time.

[:D]Only a true GOP believer would think that 81% of their people voting for one candidate would be independent thinking.

I believe many Tulsa registered Dems are DINO's. People like AA who register Dem then criticize viciously their leadership. Or those who registered 30 years ago the way their parents did but never really voted Dem. That would make our party much more independent voters. I don't remember a Dem gaining 81% in a primary.

tim huntzinger

I am a registered independent who votes a straight D ticket.

An IINO? Why register Independent then?

My statement stands, though the inference that you're GOP doesn't. 81% of a party voting for/against a candidate doesn't qualify as independent thinking. They just don't like Randi and its understandable why. If the vote had been non partisan, I believe you would have had a huge vote against her as well.

I guess I am an IINO, that is funny!  No handy acronym for disaffected-protest-voter-who-left the-Party-at-the-peak-of-its-power-because-they struck-me-as-a bunch-of-self-centered-arrogant weinies-who-treated-my-support-with-disdain.

Those 81% were not even a majority of registered GOP voters, just a fractional amount of potential voters.  I say independent-minded because they did not do the easy thing and vote for the incumbent.

There must be a good term for that. Maybe non-aligned Democrat? NAD! You're a NAD! At the convention you could hold a placard saying "GO-NADS!"

First of all, I am proud to be a Democrat.
Secondly, I have the right to b#*ch because I am active in the party and get out and work campaigns on a voluntary basis to help elect Democrats. Unlike Kathy Taylor, who donated to George Bush and Steve Largent, I've never donated my time or money to Republicans or their campaigns. So you tell me who is the DINO?

I guess I'm a DINO for not supporting Jeff McMahan, Carrol Fisher, Gene Stipe, or Mike Mass, either? There is a spot on that Democratic Wall of Shame waiting for Kathy Taylor's portrait too, btw. Just because I don't goose step blindly for party incumbents, doesn't make me a DINO. Like, I always say, I'd rather be an honest naysayer than a dishonest cheerleader.

Touched a tender spot eh?

Parties are like family. You have some oddballs, some screwups and some characters that you have to endure and let nature run its course. But to go out and demean your family and give its detractors fuel to oppress your family is rarely appreciated by the rest of the  family. Republicans understand that. Praise publicly, criticize privately.

You crafted the shoes my friend, they appear to be a good fit.
