They said it would be monumental. Is "The Eagles" performing twice really monumental?

Where did you hear it was the Eagles?  The TW article says the "big announcement" is set to be made on Tuesday. Have they had the announcement yet?

just a guess here.  but, i think the big announcement will be madonna.  she has an opening between denver and houston.  tulsa would be a good fit between those dates.

Exactly.  The Eagles wasn't the announcement.  From KOTV, "The city says it has a "monumental" act on deck, and it's even surprised the promoter could convince the act to come to Tulsa." (Source)

Since the Eagles are already coming to Tulsa, I don't think anyone has to convince them to come.

That cant be it.  Thats not "monumental" or even a big announcement. They arent that great an act anyway. The reason they sold out like they did in the first place was because they were the main opening act for the new arena and people wanted to go to whatever it was. Its not as though Tulsans are somehow, uniquely, crazed Eagles fans lol.

When I was watching the news at 7:30 this morning, they said the announcement would be made in an hour. That was about the time the Eagles announcement was made. I hope there is another announcement, but I'm not holding my breath.

If it were Madonna, it would fit into her current tour schedule. She is in Denver on Nov 12, and then in Houston on Nov 16 leaving enough time for a stop off in Oklahoma.
