Did Alaska give Palin experience handling a budget as complicated as United States'?

Did Alaska adequately inform Palin about issues of federalism?  Does she understand the concept?  [fair question - one month ago she couldn't explain the job of the Vice President -not even the tie-breaking function in the Senate].

Did her two years as governor involve issues with troops overseas?  Their maintenance, funding, security?

So far, the only lesson I see that Palin learned as governor was how to use a political office to fire someone who wouldn't pander to her personal vendetta.

If that's the type of experience you're looking for, then maybe Palin is your candidate.

Now now Coffee Bean..... Maybe she took night courses in waterboarding....

The Republicans are going to have a very tough road to hoe... no pun intended

They make it out of the convention without certain things reaching the light of day ipsqueak will be very pleased.

Romney or even Lieberman would have been cause for concern...
This set of circumstances have cut the suspense factor immensely......

And yes I am bitter when I look at what Bush has done to the country and for Veteran Rights...

Has anyone noticed her husband is in the brotherhood of BP Global...

Now we have a right to ask why she chose to have a fifth child in her middle forties. Being VP is not a 9-5 job. Her husband can help care for the new baby but she should be there more and would not be able to be if she became VP.

FOTD thinks it was very selfish and insensitive for her to bear her fifth child. Her other four children will have to live with the consequences of her decision. FOTD thinks it was insensitive for McCain to even ask her to be VP. Here is a family going through the stress of having a new baby. The stress is increased because the baby has special needs. John McCain asks the mother to be a candidate for VP. Like that is not a stressful thing to do-run for office.

The devil is all for breaking down all barriers which prevent all human beings from reaching their full potential. Having school age children should not be a barrier to holding political office. But if Rosemary just gave birth to a special needs child the devil would have told McCain NO. Palin needs to spend more time with her family. She'll get that opportunity when she returns to the governors desk.

The GOP is not the family values party.....

You are obviously a sexist piece of ****.  How un-liberal of you, trying to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her body.  ****ing sexist pig.

What, does your own dysfunctional upbringing and life suddenly qualify you as a family counselor?

You are being way to easy on this miserable piece of crap masquerading as a human being. I find it incredible that this douchebag f*stain was even allowed back in this forum.

Really FOTD.

Leave her baby out of the conversation. I assume she knows what she is doing about her career and family situation.

I can find plenty to agree or disagree with this pick as VP without trying to bring her family and especially her new baby into the conversation.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Thanks again for proving why I find you a respectable adversary.

Nice way to pay respect to a vet that had his arm repeatedly broken in a prison camp.

His time surviving, while admirable, brings nothing of substance to the table.  What does it add?  That McCain is determined?  So is Bush, and its hardly viewed as a positive.

Reread my post genius.  Some idiot posted a picture about his "frankenstein" handshake.  The reason he looks awkward while shaking hands with people is because he's had his arm broken numerous times.

If you're going to participate, at least pay attention.

And you would be correct.  Henry has more relevant executive than Palin who has more experience than Obama, I don't think this is that complicated.  Be that as it may, I think McCain is actually running for president this year.

Probably as much as a community organizer has.  He's a senator with 143 days of experience.  Do you have any proof to back up his proficiency with the US budget?

For god's sake.  He doesn't even know how many states are in the US.  He'd be budgeting for 57 states...

The question is do you?  What exactly is she misinterpreting about federalism?

Lastly, could you provide us with three concrete examples of accomplishments that prove that Obama has experience deserving of the position he's running for?

Do you have any clue as to how many average joes "big oil" employs?  How many average people have their retirement accounts invested in "big oil?"

Wow.  Way to keep it classy eh?  Did you borrow that line or did you think it up all by yourself?

quote:

your party and its chattering classes are consistently LYING by perpetuating propaganda that McCain's version of Geraldine Ferraro has more experience than Obama...

Last time I checked, McCain was running for president against Barry, not Palin.

quote:

then you'll throw in fine-print about her "executive experience" as a governor, much like the end of a viagra commercial... side effects include: we are gonna be soooooo screwed if McCain has to resign for health reasons...
Do you ever say anything meaningful or substantive?

quote:

Obama has degrees from Columbia and Harvard-- your VP's experience is the equivalent of being Mayor of Owasso  [}:)]...

Oh boy, he went to Columbia and Harvard...he and countless tens of thousands of other people.

By the way, what executive experience does Obama have?

quote:

I understand you have no clue what a "community activist" does.... YOU CLEARLY DON'T... I saw what he did in Chicago... all you know how to do, Ippy, is use the term "community activist" in as insulting a way as you possibly can... because you're a jerk.  And you have no respect for those who choose community service over $$$...
Please.  For the love of god, please tell the Obama camp to run him as the "community organizer."

Could you outline exactly what Obama did as a community organizer that was SO incredible, after all, you saw it for yourself...

quote:

Barack worked with WORKING PEOPLE on the southside... he worked with churches on the southside, when he could have been on Wall Street making tons of money.......

What the hell are you talking about?

You have no respect for him; I understand that.  That doesn't make you a racist.  It just makes you a traitor.  [xx(]

This is just more typical nonsense from you.  No substance, all ad hominem attacks.  I feel sorry for you as a person.  You must be miserable to be around.  I feel for your family or whoever else has the displeasure of dealing with you every day.

Get out and get some fresh air, it might do you some good.

I sure hope you fat-fingered something here, because I'm hoping even you aren't so self-centered as to post-pad by quoting your own reply to someone from earlier in a thread.  Wow.

Not that it would surprise me or anything.

Hey genius.  I was correcting a typo from earlier.  Do you plan to actually meaningfully respond to any of my posts or are you just like your sockpuppet buddy FaxTurd?  Or have you run out of clever pictures and have nothing better to do?

Nope, got one more left for ya, Diplaw...

Wow.  How profound.  No substance, no cognitive thought.  You're a perfect Obama supporter.  Keep up the good work!

When you're ready to act like a big boy we'll all be here waiting for you to contribute something of merit.
