I think she is unready to be vice-president.
Based upon what information?  Because you disagree with her on policy or becase of the irrelevant and often unsubstantiated crap that you started the post with?

I don't think she is ready. I want a vice-President that is ready and engaged in a variety of issues.

Do you believe she has better knowledge of international issues and leaders than either of the two democrats running? Do you think she has better policies and understanding of the issue of universal health care? Do you think she will discuss either of these or any other substantive issue in her speech tonight with great insight?

She was introduced as McCain's running mate five days ago. Her speech was about how she grew up and her husband was a snow-mobile racer and her family meant so much to her. She talked about how she is against pork in government because she opposed a bridge (forgetting that she was for it before).

How does that speech make her ready to be vice-president? How can you be so sure that she is ready. You are blindly defending her with no knowledge and no defense? Her only answer is to attack her attackers.

Tell me how she is ready to be the second most powerful person in the world.
Power is nothing till you use it.

RM,

You're better than this.

Thank you for saying so. I respect your opinion.

I am not the only one saying these things. I learned the drinking part from a three way radio interview between Neil Boortz, Jamie DuPree and Dick Morris. They are all conservative talk show hosts not only talking about the pictures of the daughter holding up jugs of bourbon to her mouth, they were giving out the websites.

Jeez.

With conservative "friends" like that, who needs enemies?

She has more experience than the dude at the top of your ticket.

In my alternate universe it was Powell/Bloomberg.

I can't believe no one sees the storm coming.  I think Friday will be a bad day for the Obamites.

Buckle up.

How does ANYTHING that Obama's SAID in the past two years qualify him for President?

Sinators talk and talk.

Governors, well have to GOVERN.

Administer.
Budget.
Negotiate.
Sign death warrants.
Approve or veto legislation.
Call Up the National Guard as necessary.

She has ample experience to be either VP or President.

She wasn't properly vetted because they've lost complete control over the media narrative about Palin.  That's the bottom line.  The proof is that she hasn't spoken once to any media outlet anywhere since being introduced.  That's 5 days of campaigning -- and 5 days of "momentum" -- lost to her heretofore unknown history.  The proof is also in the leaky ship.  Her portion of the ticket is taking on so much water from fellow conservatives, media scrutiny, and the lightest of touches from the Obama camp. There's so much coming out about her that it's almost impossible to know which way to turn.

Really.  She wasn't vetted because if she had, it wouldn't be this kind of news.

How does a plagiarizing, corrupt, six term Senator, who has made questionable foreign policy votes over the years equate to "Real Change" RM?

Please don't try to impress upon any of us that your comments aren't partisan.  You were incredibly hard on Obama, yet somehow he became entirely acceptible when Hillary threw in the towel.

You made some serious accusations about Obama's fitness for President, just exactly how has he satisfied you so quickly?

It is just fascinating to me. It would be just as fascinating to me if it were an unknown democrat running for vice president. You guys all think it is partisan. Remember, I posted some very tough words about Obama and his friends in Chicago long before others were talking about it.

I didn't hold back on my criticism of Obama. I blogged about his church, his business partners and others. I was fascinated that all these details were just coming out about him and one of my problems with him was that he wasn't fully vetted.

I feel the same about Sarah Palin. I don't comdemn her actions or the actions of her family. I will be lucky to control my kids when they become teenagers.

But she has a good chance to be the vice-President and even the President of our country. She has yet to give a major speech in prime time. During the year and a half of campaigning between over a dozen major candidates from both parties her name never came up. Because she came out of nowhere politically in the last four days, Americans are desperate to learn more about her. That includes details about her that keep appearing every day in the media. Many of the details, like the boyfriend traveling to St. Paul were put out by her own campaign.

I only blame John McCain. Her life is filled with things that make politics seem unimportant right now. John McCain thrust her into the spotlight before she was ready. Instead of vetting her properly, he is letting the internet do his job.

Did you know your daughter is out on www.Youtube.com drinking shots with a black gangsta rapper?

His nickname is Cockzilla.

You're gonna love it.

You mean the "narrative" concerning her family that shouldn't even be a part of the discourse right now?  Weak, very weak indeed.
