Welcome to the dance.

Is this where the repiglicans shoot themselves in the head?

Landslide coming......

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/215224.php

"what is already apparent is that John McCain is running the sleaziest, most dishonest and race-baiting campaign of our lifetimes. So let's stopped being shocked and awed by every new example of it. It is undignified. What can we do? We've got a dangerously reckless contender for the presidency and a vice presidential candidate who distinguished her self by abuse of office even on the comparatively small political stage of Alaska. They've both embraced a level of dishonesty that disqualifies them for high office. Democrats owe it to the country to make clear who these people are. No apologies or excuses."

That's really angry.

On the anniversary of such an infamous day why would you purposefully misspell the name of our country?  Massive brain damage is the only possible reason I can come up with.

Show some respect.

During the primary season I had some doubts about Obama's ability to fight back when the Republican Hate Machine got going.  Now that that is happening, I have to say that I have been reassured that my candidate is able to return a forceful punch.

We Democrats know who we are up against and we are not going to be distracted by Republican spin.  As Obama said, He loves his country too much to allow the Republicans to steal another election with lies.

Just out of curiosity.  Do you have any evidence of McCain race-baiting?  The only candidate that I can remember race-baiting was Obama himself:

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?"

All I'm looking for is one quote from McCain or any campaign official...

How about 527s?  Would you accept references from those, since they work as a surrogate?  Let's remember that's how the Swiftboating in 04 happened, was through 527 groups.

Not saying I have any quotes yet, but before someone puts something up from a 527 and you cry foul, I want clarification.

527s aren't controlled by the candidates or the campaigns.  They have no control over them, period.

Unless you'd like to tie Obama to the "General Betrayus" ad that moveon.org came up with...

I would like to direct your attention to the OP:

John McCain is running

This was a direct accusation against McCain and no one else.

Unbunch the panties...just wanted clarification.

Sheesh.  You're awfully sensitive to be an attorney.  I hope that doesn't carry over into litigation.

Yeah.  Being aggressive in court is really a bad character trait for an attorney.  I want a limp d!#k representing me instead.

BTW, I don't litigate.

Ever.

Thank goodness.

And actually, it smacked more of 'whininess' than arrogance.  But that's just my opinion.

1) Because a far left wing political website, who's sole purpose to to disparage the current Administration, Republicans in Congress, the Military, and non-liberals in general says so... it must be true.

I heard a guy in a white pointy robe say black people are not fit to lead the USA, it must be true.

Find non-extreme sources, or sources that at least pretend to be neutral.  This isn't even a source, just an opinion.

2) What does this have to do with a Civil War?

It is neither civil, nor war, nor the oxymoronical combination of those words.  It's an election.  Pretty much, that's it.

Granted, this is THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVER.  Just like 2004.  And 2000.  And 1992 (no one gave a crap about 1996).  And 1984, 1980.  And about 2/3rds of the elections in US history were THE MOST IMPORTANT EVER.  Sean Hannity said so, it must be true.

3) Amerika is a foreign language spelling of America. Notably in Russian (and German, Dutch, Portuguese, western character Japanese).  Hence, the communists spelled it Amerika in disparaging pamphlets in Korea, Vietnam, and in general publications.  Actually used in VOA publications to Soviet Block countries it has been picked up by groups that want to disparage the United States internally so they feel clever.

It was also the name of the train Hitler used.  "Führersonderzug Amerika" or the Leaders Special Train America.

Several ships, songs, and publications bore the name... as it is the common spelling in many countries.  Facially not offensive, but as used by an American it is meant to be offensive I guess.  Or maybe it's cool... who the hell knows.
