The place was packed.  The speakers were good.

Phil Town was good.   Dr. Robert Shuler was good.  Brian Tracy was good though I got there late due to the traffic and just heard the end of his talk. Zig Zigler was a sad moment.   His heart is there but his skills are diminished. I have seen him in his prime and this was sad.

Joe Montana was a disappointment.

The restrooms and concession stands are too close together.   The lines were running into each other.   Plus the concession stands were not prepared for the number of people there and they were over run and slow.   The food did not look all that appetizing to me.  I just passed on lunch and got a bottle of water which cost me $3. I tried a water fountain and the water was warm and the pressure was low.

All in all I would give the day a C-.   Knowing what I know now, I wish I had spent my day conducting business as usual which would have been our weekly sales meeting.   Then meeting with our customer service people and meeting with clients in the afternoon.

sounds like a perfect lowest bidder facility.  I'm heartened that my tax dollars built such a fancy toilet.

They did not have enough people working at the concession stands.  But I will give them credit on the food.  The 6.50 chicken finger basket was great.  The chicken was fresh and hot.  The fries were the same.  Pizza was 4 dollars a slice, and quite large.  One thing that just rubbed me the wrong way, was it looked as though there was only one exit, the main doors.  It was like we were all cattle being herded into a trailer or something.  None the less, my first experience at the arena was good.  The seats are comfy, bathroom lines were not long at all, and the concession stand took credit cards.  I will give it a B+ if we are giving grades on the facility.

Sounds like a total carbohydrate & saturated fat nightmare [:O]

I was told people were complaining on the radio call-ins this morning there was a full court press during the event to buy some sort of software package.

Interesting no one has said a thing about it on here.

Was there..arrived at 8:30 sat in the rafters for the first part..wasn't to bad, the speakers looks like little mice..but could hear well. It was funny watching REALLY REALLY LARGE people trying to squeeze into those tiny seats way up top though...

The speakers were good..I didn't take notes..but a few were really just pushing products..the guy from Oklahoma talking about the real estate game was a great speaker..I didn't buy into his "product" but liked how he delivered the message.JOE MONTANA what was his point I dont think he had one...

Zig....wow...that was a very very sad way to beat a dead horse his daughter had to ask him questions and he would answer them...its time to hang it up Zig......lets not let him on stage anymore ANYWHERE..he needs to live out his life in retirement and leave a legacy of what he was...

Rudy...hrmmmm I dont' know really what his message was .....was it worth spending 8 hours and around 4.00 to attend? Yeah I think so..

The BOK CENTER was okay..I think it was Oklahoma Style BBQ...HUH? Oklahoma STYLE? This was some SAMS CLUB CRAP with CANNED BBQ Sauce on a bun..pretty much the same kind you would get from the expo square in house company...DO NOT BUY THE BBQ IT WAS OVERPRICED AND NASTY...

I did hear good things about the chicken strips...I had a box lunch that was provided so I had the ham sandwich...but over all they had options for most..but I would suggest sticking to the pizza..can't do that to bad....

I did get to check out the OneOk Premium room seating as it was open..nice place..small bathrooms but the seats are a little larger than general seating...

The facility...other than running out of paper towels in the bathrooms was still clean..and new and I would give it a B....

I wasn't motivated to go. [;)]

Seriously, though, these events have bamboozlement and rip-off written all over them.

It wasn't all bad.  I wish they had let us know they were going to throw so much Jesus at us; would have affected my decision to spend time there.  It was interesting to me that the preacher was one of the least religious speakers.  I guess I should have been tipped off by the plants around the stage . . . looked like the purple hair lady show on the charismatic networks.

They had the ex-singer from Santana sing a couple of songs; he was craptacular Branson suburb quality.  At one point, they got a clip of people doing the mega-church/ ORU tv arms extended on a roller coaster thing.  Started doing work on my Blackberry upstairs at that point.

Montana was a really bad speaker.  Sounded like Rocky or something.  I think he has been hit in the head a few too many times.  His stories were interesting if you really like football, but they didn't have a lot of value for the real world.  Yeah, that's neat that Jerry Rice was so good and that you hit John Taylor for a couple of 95 yard TDs in the same game.  Okaythxbye.

I left during Rudy.  He's a dynamic speaker, but really didn't have much of a point.  He was kind of a hater.  In terms of speaking ability, he was easily the best of the day.

Colin Powell was neat if you like history, but I didn't see much of a point there, either.  There was a protester that interupted his speech.  I was sitting in front of some folks who thought torture was an appropriate punishment for the protester.  We moved after that.

Zig was really sad.  That was like early onset Alzheimer's; he had no short term memory.  The presentation was done in an interview format with his daughter.  His daughter seemed upset and I noticed her hands were shaking.

Agree that the real estate guy was great.  Excellent delivery, interesting subjects.  I looked up our lien sale laws last night and they've changed a lot from what he mentioned.

Thought the personal investment guy was fine, too.  He was encouraging and had some interesting insight about how a lot of folks are getting screwed by mutual funds these days and how they refuse to do anything about it.

I guess I should have expected that they would try to upsale so many products.  I think when they finally got to the e-commerce guy, they had shaken all the fruit from the tree.

Bottom line, if you didn't go to college, have a lot of debt, have a really bad job, don't understand credit cards, have a 401k or IRA that you never check up on, and like cheesy Christian music in the form of a lounge act, this would have been a great event for you.  Otherwise, meh.

Check your phone.  Both times I've been there I've had reception from the bowels to the concourses.  Usually between 3 and 4 bars (out of 5).

Look for the Verizon Wireless guy next time too.

I have AT&T (iphone) and the first hour or so I only had 2 bars.  After getting up and going to the restroom, I had between 3-5 bars all day in my seat and around the concourse.  That's strange.
