Despite what is claimed in one of your commercials, you are NOT Oklahoma.  This state is far bigger than any one person, much less a wackjob like Inhofe.  Jim Inhofe isn't a pimple on Oklahoma's donkey.

Inhofe's commercials are always shocking, but this one is so blatantly arrogant that it stunned me.

Funny thing is - the koolaid drinkers buy into it, and he'll win the election, because no one knows any better.

It's time for different leadership, but if Oklahoma doesn't wake up to the fact the Jim Inhofe is the laughingstock of American politics, we deserve what we get.

sgrizzle

I Andrew (and Apple) Rice the best opponent the state could come up with?

I don't agree with Inhofe on a lot of things, but I'm starting to get to the point that I'll vote for someone I don't really agree with, but will get something done, as opposed to someone I agree with who will get nothing done. Inhofe spent years getting the 50M for the Tulsa Low Water Dams, fought for I-44 money, etc. He knows where his bread is buttered so he fights to gets stuff to Oklahoma. I have also heard story after story where someone had an issue that needed help from his office and got it. Inhofe has only missed 4% of the votes (Coburn 4%, Mccain 18%, Obama 24%) which to me is a very good thing as well.

GG

I'm sticking with Jim Inhofe, not been impressed with Andrew Rice.

In this case better to stick with the devil you know rather than go with the devil you don't know.
Trust but verify

It took him YEARS to get that piddly amount? 50million little piddly dollars? lol While we constantly hear of other states getting soooooooooo much more and often for crap? Ice cream cone museums and bridges to no where.... I think its absurd to think he "brings home the bacon". More like bacon bits while other states haul in huge chunks of pork.

"When you only have two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other."-Chinese proverb. "Arts a staple. Like bread or wine or a warm coat in winter. Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

The Artist is right.  Inhofe = Bacon bits.

Now you've really gone too far.
Don't bring bacon bits into this!

What did they deserve to be equated with Inhofe?!

Gaspar

I don't want my politicians bringing me any pork.  I want them to represent me in Washington, not throw me federal scraps in exchange for votes.

We have a Senate and House now full of people incapable of passing simple and necessary legislature without attaching billions of dollars of unrelated Bull $hit to it.

When will we say enough?

If it's important to your constituents, it's important enough to have its own title and to be brought to the floor on its own merit.

Do you want to be competitive with the rest of the nation or do want to sacrifice Oklahoma on a cross of purity, as it were?

No one knows better what Oklahomans need than Oklahomans.

I'm really glad that the bank bailout brought us such needed bits as help for the oklahoma film industry and credits for hiring native americans. Those are OBVIOUSLY related.

PonderInc

Inhofe is a hoax.

But, don't worry...there's always Coburn who will do his best to block just about any bill with any amount of money going to anybody for anything.  So your tax dollars are safe....well, safely headed to other states that are willing to fight for their (and our) slice of the pie.  When you enjoy federally funded ammenities in Texas and other states, be sure to thank yourself for it...

Excuse me.  You live in Oklahoma and you don't think it's important to encourage people to hire Native Americans?

Come on.

No, HT,

I want earmark reform across the board.

I want a leader that says "This bill for Antarctic ice sheet research contains an earmark for $60 million dollars for rubber dart manufacturers in Oklahoma.  VETO!"

Is that unreasonable?

For God's sake, someone snuck millions of dollars for wooden  arrows in the Economic Bailout bill.

Imagine where I am envisioning those arrows being shoved. [:O]

I would support a law requiring a separate bill for anything not related to the main bill.  One subject for each bill.  This would eliminate a lot of pork.

How much you want to bet if a bill like this were to be introduced to Congress, somebody would try to attach an unrelated earmark to it?
