McNellies Out of Marshall's Sundown[resolved]

First off I think Marshall's Beer is great, especially Sundown Wheat.  In fact when it first started delivering to McNellies, I started only drinking that(partly because it was good and partly to support my local brewing company). So my coworker and I decided to go there for a few beers every Friday after work.  The problem started off with Sundown Wheat never being available there, but I would get one of the other two beers.  In the last month and a half it has progressed from Sundown not being available to none of the beers being available.

Is this just a problem with McNellies or something? This is a little disconcerting since I figure McNellies was kind of the mainstay of Marshall's beer, considering the title of one of those beers.

Just when you thought the news couldn't get any worse. I blame it on deregulation, greed, and the global financial meltdown.

Oh, and the mayor, definitely the mayor.

If you have to have Marshall's beer, just go to Oscar's at 18th and Boston. You should find plenty because they are never busy. The bartender is Stephanie and she is awesome.

If you would prefer to stay at McNellie's because of the atmosphere just ask to see Eliot and share your concerns regarding Marshall's. He's a good guy and if there is a reason for it at least you will know.

And speaking of McNellie's....last time I was there, they didn't have Blue Moon on tap. Brought me a bottle. Boo. [xx(]

I'll blame the ABLE commission.

Somehow, it is probably really their fault anyway.

When they don't have Marshalls just reluctantly settle for something else and then make horrble faces as you try to choke the alternate swill down. That will get the point across.

You might consider drinking a little water every now and then.  It's good for the kidneys.  Just a thought.

(Sorry, couldn't resist a little sophomoric humor)

I love it too.  Eric keeps tabs on what we say on this forum, so chances are he's aware of the problem.  I'm glad to see it flying out of the taps, that's a great sign.

By brewery standards, it's still a small operation and quality comes first.  There's also a maddening array of federal and state regs which go along with operating a brewery of any size.  That along with slow, measured growth might make product scarce at times right now.

Bottles are very close to reality.  I was disappointed the Colony only had the IPA on tap.  I'm just not an IPA guy at all.  FWIW, his Oktoberfest Novemberfest beer and new lager are outstanding.

Please be patient and keep supporting Marshall's.  I agree the wheat beer is my fave so I'm disappointed when I can't get my fix.

they ARE the reason we don't have Stone Brewery offerings here.

I usurp the entire system and just brew my own.

We drank something on the order of 9 gallons of beer on Friday night, before downing a good number of other alcohol and heading to the Colony.  That included drinking ALL of my Oktoberfest Ale (hard to lager in Oklahoma with wild swings).  Man do I have dirt on Conan now.

Home brewing is so simple, even a caveman could do it!

You don't know why there was some Vaseline next to the bed and why my ear felt slimey Saturday morning do you?  Great fun, remind me to pass on the vodka and energy drink shots the next time though.

Interesting, I had never heard of the ABLE commission before.  I read up on them and it was all depressing.  I don't remember getting to vote on that commission for some reason.

Some might say they're 'no' men put into power by the bible thumpers.

Oh please, might as well cause them the NERF commission, for as tough as they are on liquor law enforcement.
