What will the unwashed masses think if McCain wins, especially after being universally written off? That the election was stolen by the eeeeevillll GOP? What else could they possibly think? Will they shrug it off, say 'OK well then next time we will try harder.'  Even thugs watch telebision and listen to the ray-dee-o.

Unwashed masses?  Or race-baiting scare tactics based on fear of a 6'4" big bad black man?!?

Brian Williams: McCain Campaign Spread 'B' Hoax To Reporters
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHnjc0lRpL4

McCain Communications Director Gave Reporters Incendiary Version Of "Carved B" Story Before Facts Were Known
By Greg Sargent - October 24, 2008, 5:12PM
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/10/mccain_aide_gave_reporters_inc.php

John McCain's Pennsylvania communications director told reporters in the state an incendiary version of the hoax story about the attack on a McCain volunteer well before the facts of the case were known or established -- and even told reporters outright that the "B" carved into the victim's cheek stood for "Barack," according to multiple sources familiar with the discussions.

John Verrilli, the news director for KDKA in Pittsburgh, told TPM Election Central that McCain's Pennsylvania campaign communications director gave one of his reporters a detailed version of the attack that included a claim that the alleged attacker said, "You're with the McCain campaign? I'm going to teach you a lesson."

Verrilli also told TPM that the McCain spokesperson had claimed that the "B" stood for Barack. According to Verrilli, the spokesperson also told KDKA that Sarah Palin had called the victim of the alleged attack, who has since admitted the story was a hoax.

The KDKA reporter had called McCain's campaign office for details after seeing the story -- sans details -- teased on Drudge.

Will White People Riot?
By Wendi C. Thomas | TheRoot.com

Ridiculous question? Then stop asking it about black people.

http://www.theroot.com/id/48479

Many whites still labor under the illusion that black folk act en masse and that if you ask the right one, you can get the official position of some 40 million people. If a few of us get angry, that logic allows, it must surely result in a riot.

Riot because we didn't get our way? Please. Black people have more than their share of experience with disappointment and dashed dreams. (See: King, Martin Luther; Evers, Medgar; Chaney, James.) Matter of fact, I'd go so far as to say we're experts in making the best out of a losing hand.

The reply to the curious white gentleman: "No! There is no reason to believe black people will riot if Obama does not win."

But soon after getting this man's e-mail, I started to wonder if he was on to something, if he had noticed what I had: a seething, barely constrained, ugly anger and frustration that makes good riot fuel. The kind of anger that prompts people to shout "Kill him!" and "Off with his head!" at rallies. The kind of hatefulness that would prompt a man to bring a stuffed monkey with an "Obama" sticker on the toy's head to a campaign event.

That kind of group-fueled nastiness must surely beg the question: Will white people riot if Obama wins?

Not all white people are McCain supporters. (See caucuses, Iowa.) Not all black people are backing Obama. (See Negroes, self-loathing. Just joking.)

But there is a small but vocal segment of white Republicans who just might have an aneurysm if the next occupant of the White House is a black man.

I think we'll all be thinking of McCain the same way we did Bob Dole after the '96 election.

Nice guy. Senior party member who got his shot. Could have been a decent President, but ran at the wrong time and got beat soundly.

Black people? Unwashed? Ruffian, you must be racist!  I would guess the most violent, destructive acts of righteous indignation would come from pointy-headed cracker eggheads chanting Rage Against the Machine songs.  Garsh Ruffian, I never suspected you would be so racist!  Ha ha!  Rich, white folk's violence is sublimated into racist policies like war, poverty, and such because they hold the tools of  of power (even when not in the electoral majority).  The poor and oppressed only hold the power of a vote and a rock.  If they feel the tool of the vote has been taken from them, what else do they have? You want them to hold hands and sing Kumbaya, chant in robes like Ghandi? If O'Bama loses and there is NOT rioting of some king in some quarters, then our Democracy is dead, indeed!

Well I, for one, am happy we have the Patriot Act, so we can avoid any domestic acts of terrorism espoused by groups like this:

Pretty Palestinian thinking of you.

Did someone ever care to mention it's one man, one vote? Feel free to substitute 'person'.

I tend to agree with you on this. The interesting part of the one above is they were the only ones who nailed it in 2004, and are equally different than most other polls at this point.

It does seem polls are far more manipulated this year than then, though.

Just playing the 4% or so accuracy factor means 8 points of spread are possible.

Another thing I noticed about polls this year which was different is that none of them are stating the accuracy of their particular poll and publishing it with the poll itself. Every poll I've ever seen prior to this year did.

Some could have 20% error factor or more.
So, there's good reason not to trust/believe any of them.

UPDATE: Just noticed the IBD/TIPP Poll does include an accuracy factor statement of +/- 3.5%.

First one I've seen.

It looks like these 18-24 year olds are going for McCain in excess of 60%:

Mucho Americano. If O'bama loses a significant number of voters will believe that some kind of shennanigans deprived them of their 'one vote.'  What was that 2nd Amendment about, again? That if the gubmint decides to run roughshod over its citizens that we were then allowed to go sustenance hunting?  Or does the 2nd Amendment only cover guns and not rocks?

If Obama wins, how much of it can be attributed to Acorn's antics?

About the same amount that will be attributed to HAVA and Acorn if McCain wins. Acorn just registers people and reports on innacuracies in those registrations as prescribed by law. They have no power to disenfranchise a voter. That of course is the domain of the Secretaries of State of each state that are using HAVA to actually keep people from voting or ignoring their vote.

To put it simply, Acorn may register Mickey Mouse but he won't actually vote because he's just a cartoon character. If Mickey's registration is not purged from the database in the process and someone does try to vote as Mickey Mouse, the voter registrar can stop him by demanding his ID.

But you Wrinkle? If your name is William Rinkle but you registered as W. Rinkle your registration has probably already been purged as 10's of thousands have been in Colorado. The state may try to inform you...or not. They may let you vote on a provisional ballot but not actually count the vote as they did in Florida 2004. And they won't tell you.

In the last decade I read that no more than a dozen cases of voter fraud were successfully prosecuted. Voter fraud and the huge expensive response to it, is a fraud.

Generally speaking, the only people in any community that would riot over the outcome of an election would be the ones that generally don't bother to participate anyway.  If great masses rise up, win or lose, in inner cities odds are they are people looking to riot - not really politically motivated.  Just my opinion.

Riot because we didn't get our way? Please. Black people have more than their share of experience with disappointment and dashed dreams. (See: King, Martin Luther, Medgar...)

True.  But following the assassination of MLK there was 3 or 4 days of horrible riots in many cities.   Medgar was involved in a riot that left 2 people dead.  He was almost certainly not at any fault, but perhaps the author should have chosen better examples.

Also don't forget people riot in celebration.  So win or lose, you got to watch out for those crazy black people.  /sarcasm.
