Who do you really want to win?

I am hoping we can keep this thread about our views instead of responding to other poster's views...

My thought is to have us all say from all the votes cast in America, whom do you really, really want to win?

I want Al Franken to win in Minnesota. Out of 100 Senators, at least one of them should be a comedian.

I want Jeannie McDaniel to win. Her opponent didn't mail us any propaganda or knock on our door, but we received ten of his robo-calls making outrageous claims about her. I want her to win just as a reaction against that kind of campaigning.

I really want Jeff Begich to win in Alaska against Ted Stevens. I will so disappointed is voters re-elect a guy who was found guilty of seven counts of hiding contributions.

I really want Andrew Rice to win. He is such a nice guy. My family went to Delta Cafe in east Tulsa on Sunday. Rice was there with his family. As he finished, he cam over and said hello to my wife and me. I had only met him a couple of times and I am sure he has met thousands of people in the last few months, but he remembered us and took time to say hello. I am also so embarrassed by Inhofe on environmental issues. My friends in DC love to send me e-mails making fun of Inhofe's statements.

Finally, I really want the streets package to pass. My neighborhood is in good shape, but there are clearly parts of Tulsa that need better roads. I also know that street work is the kind of investment that keeps dollars in the local economy.
Power is nothing till you use it.

I want the best candidates to win [;)]

No matter who does, the sun will rise tomorrow (I'm hoping) I'll get up and go into work as usual after a good work out.

Should it be Obama, I do recall we were given a doom and gloom scenario if Clinton won in '92.  He turned out to be a pretty good President and history shows he was fiscally responsible.  That is probably my biggest issue as a voter.

I've got hope and optimism no matter who winds up leading.  I hope Congress will have the courage to finally take DC back from the lobbyists and special interests (one can dream can't he?)

I still have my Bush/Quayle92 sign. I was in high school at the time but Gore came and spoke to a class I was when and talked about how we weren't smart enough to make it in college.

Good post Conan. I agree. Though I would like to see the guy whose running against Bachmann in Minnesota (Tinkleberg?)prevail.

I also think on a local level Lucky Lamons is a dedicated, intelligent, responsive candidate and I hope he continues to win.

I would like to see Rice put Inhofe out to pasture. Inhofe has accomplished a lot during his tenure for his viewpoint but his tactics are deplorable. Now we need some young blood.

Like Yakoff Schmirnoff used to say, "What a country!"

Bill Clinton was a strong conservative on many issues. One issue that upset me most during his tenure was his signing into law the Telecommunications Act of 1996 ammendment pushed by Congress. A total commie move IMO.

I am man enough to admit, he was one of our top five greatest Presidents of all time. Yeah, I said it.

Bob Barr for President

I agree with Conan. Whoever our next president is, at least we can look for a more hopeful future. It's time to stop being defined by party and get back to being defined as American.
