Georgianna Oliver was at Cafe Cubana this morning. I briefly glanced at her as she with a companion, she seemed withdrawn. I wondered if it was finally settling in that her chances were not good. After paying for my coffee, I wanted to ask her why she said that she wished she had never ran for office during her interview on Channel 6.

I just couldn't do it, she looked disoriented and sad. I don't say this to slam her, I know I wouldn't have the stamina to do what she has done. It was just disheartening seeing her this way. I don't think she smiled once while sitting there.

Still hoping for that one candidate to ride in and save district 1.

With the stupidly huge numbers of attack ads, mailers, robocalls, and everything else Sullivan threw at her, I'm not surprised she's looking a bit down.

It amazes me that people like Sullivan don't grasp that that sort of **** really makes those of us not beholden to a particular party very angry and makes it much less likely we'll vote for someone with that strategy.

That's right. It's all Sullivan's fault. Her inept campaign and the fact that she just moved back here recently had nothing to do with it.

I'd look pretty whipped and depressed too if I'd have just pissed away a small fortune of my "own" money trying to run against one of the biggest thug/punks this city has ever known.  Now watch the software development company she sold for $400K to fund the campaign strike it huge and sell again for $400mm in a few years.

I hesitated when I got to that part of the ballot, and re-coiled a little as I made my vote for that office.

So in your world, the things you mail, the things you say, and the things you write are not your fault? You can't make the choice to talk about what good you can do for us rather than sending me fifty ****ing mailers yammering on about "Georgetown Georgianna" or whatever?

Or the one with the big red "LIBERAL" on it. I loved that one.

Surely if he's fit to be our representative, he can do far better than that.

Even Inhofe was less annoying this election, and I hate that guy with a passion.

Wow, you're upset because politics can get tough? Get a hormone shot or something.

No, I just think you're being intentionally dense by saying that Oliver is responsible for Sullivan's words.

After hearing his clown shoes interview on Studio Tulsa a couple weeks ago, I honestly cannot believe this IRL troll is representing me in DC.
Its sickening.
I did my part to ensure he doesn't continue to, I hope it matters, but I'm also realistic about it....

/sigh

That's not what I am saying at all. My point was that blaming her potential (and that's all it at this point) defeat completely on Sullivan's campaign tactics is misplaced.

The ads/fliers about her getting a ticket in her Virginia car and the basic knowledge that she moved back and ran nearly instantly is damning to many people.  On one token, she came back and wants to make things better.  On the other token, she hasn't lived here for a while and seemingly came back just to run.

Once again, you're ignoring what I'm saying. I'm saying that it doesn't matter who wins, Sullivan's tactics reek.

Thinking back on Sullivan's ads about her what made me laugh was his incredulous pronunciation that she had used her own money to run for office. Gee, is that a bad thing?
