Problem with Warren Clinics

My physician retired from Warren Clinics about a year ago.  I was sent a letter explaining that I should call the referral line to arrange for a new physician to receive my records and become my primary care provider.

Since that time, I have called the referral line every couple of weeks, when I remember to.  There is never anyone working that line, you are simply prompted to leave your name and a call back number after the tone.  No one has ever called me back.

Before I go on up the ladder, I was just curious if anyone else has had this problem?

I don't really care who I get as a doctor anymore, as that the quality of care is no longer dictated by any physician, I just want a name on my card so I don't get hassled in an emergency or when I want a flu shot.

I just go to my insurance website and pick one...

I have not had this specific problem, but in general the medical care is rather industrial nationwide.  When I was a kid (not long ago, mind you) my doctor was a quasi family friend.  Mix government money, big business, and politics and what you get is bound to me a mess.

My doctor basically refused to discuss anything I did not identify when I made the appointment. I have been going to him for four years and no once has he ever brought up my weight or my elevated blood pressure 150/85. In January I was very heavy and began going to Weight Watchers and started loosing weight and as a result lowering my blood pressure.

At no time has he even remotely acted interested or wanted to get involved with me during the weight loss process. I asked him in August if I should have blood work done so we could be sure all is okay. He says no need.

I use Warren Clinic and would highly recommend Dr. Wayne Pue at 101st and Memorial.  He really takes the time to make sure you are being treated correctly and not just in compliance with some insurance company.

I could also recommend some of the doctors to avoid at Warren Clinic, but won't post there here.
