Say something positive about Tulsa.  Just to show me you can.  [:)]

Much of your angst is constructively directed (negative towards things deserving of negativity), but I don't think I've ever seen a positive statement.  That must be exhausting.  So here's your chance!

Last time he was challenged his positive statement that Elephant Bar as closed. I consider that more of a double-negative.

well that's even better because two negatives make a positive!

He can't do it.

He says so in his signature line. He thinks we are all stupid and that justifies his words. How sad.

Even his avatar has him setting himself on fire.

His life must be miserable to add those two things to every post he makes.
Power is nothing till you use it.

waterboy

I visited Slick back in the late 70's because it was reputed to have a great barbecue joint. All I remember is that the roads were not paved and most of it looked like that Google pic.

I don't remember anything about the barbeque, but I still remember that Appalachian feeling.

The Tulsa Inteller likes is south of 81st and east of Memorial. Other than the traffic at rush hour its a fine part of Tulsa but seems to breed hubris. Just like Utica Square. If history holds true, within a decade the Memorial expansion area will succumb to mediocrity just like 41st & Yale, 51st & Memorial, and 71st & Lewis all did in the past. Currently 71st & Memorial is on the chopping block.

101st & Yale is a lot nicer with better cars, prettier realtors and more civil drivers. If you like that kind of stuff. Different strokes.

but haven't you heard?  PLANiTULSA is going to save us from mediocrity, along with curing cancer and hair loss.[8D]

Hair loss? That's my kind of planning. I'm in.

oh wait, I just learned it only applies to downtown and you have to get it approved by the TDA first.

What gets me is when a moderator goes after someone like Waterboy for his very, very rare use of an abbreviated F***.  When Inteller frequently uses F*** this and F*** that without reproach.  Short of a computer applying TulsaNow rules I guess there will always be some disparities in subjective moderation.  Otherwise, Inteller you've missed out on Tulsa's one meaningful gift to its offspring – knowing how to act in public.  I know, I'm a "nut" and you "don't care."

cannon_fodder

The statement:  not Slick isn't really something positive.  It is merely a statement that it could be more negative.  While we could argue the syntax, clearly the position is not in the spirit of being positive.

One positive thing.  You can do it!

well I view it as positive, and since I'm not entertaining your subjective whims that will be all you are getting.
