Duran Duran this time.

Something tells me if ticket sales would have been brisk, they could have managed to find some decongestant and make the concert happen.

I think its being proven that Tulsa (and area) simply can't support these concerts.

They also cancelled a couple of Texas shows...

My wife and sister-in-law are fuming.

well at least they are getting their $200 back.

the 80s called, and they want those ticket prices!

Dion canceled her Kansas City show too, Duran Duran cancel 6 shows I think... not just Tulsa.

IMHO the money from live shows is so much these days they play too many dates.  Some bands used to enjoy touring, others to a lesser degree, but now touring is where all the money is... it's a job and it wears them out.

I will not pay those prices so I rarely go to concerts anymore.

Tulsa can support concerts.  I've been to a lot of shows with big crowds this year.  The issue right now is the number of shows and the number of venues, in addition to competition for entertainment dollars from things like sporting events and Indian casinos.

We have a good music market.  It just seems like everyone is trying to tap into the last year or so and they're tapping it dry, which sucks for lesser know, up and coming acts especially.  Duran Duran's business management knew well what they were doing scheduling this near the holidays . . . I would hope . . .
