I just noticed that the Grand Vin bottle shop in Utica Square has Marshalls.

Just bought some ourselves. Including some for stocking stuffers.

I just had the Pub Ale for the first time yesterday...very tasty!  My new favorite!

Anyone else think the wax dip is simply awesome on the bottles?  I look forward to drinking them just to play with the wax!

yes, definitely. its a great touch. It helps make the bottles stick out on the display (which, I'm sure was the point!). I wonder if this is a permanent thing or simply a first batch/special occasion thing. The dipping is all done by hand, so I would be surprised if its permanent.

I do like the wax dip.  It adds extra seconds of anticipation while working for your reward - an over-sized beer! The Pub Ale is great!  These are going in the gift baskets.

I got one bottle of each on the way home from work tonight.

Oooh, I'm going to have to go by there now. Thanks. :p

Edited to add: It turns out they charge 18 cents too much. [B)]

The Crossing charges $5.17 a bottle. Other stores (based on this thread) sell it for $4.99.

Even at $4.99/ 22oz, that is equivalent to about $16.33/  6 pack of 12 oz bottles.  It's good stuff but it will need to be a treat rather than a regular.

Hopefully the cost will slowly creep down a bit as setup costs are recouped. We'll see.

I hope so.  Marshall's is good beer, it's local, and I want to support him.

Agreed. It's good, (at least the Pub Ale and the Sundown Wheat, I haven't tried the other yet..maybe I'll go do that now) but not $5 a bottle on a regular basis good.

Or maybe I should just look into getting a keg of Sundown Wheat and drain that for a while. [:D]
