First of all, the home team won!

I counted 34 people total, including the media and the Mayor. My kids had a great time, even after my daughter swung the bat once, missed and ran off the field in embarrassment. I was glad she went back in and tried again. Sgrizzle deserves the most kudos for remembering to bring peanuts and more applause to Ponder,Inc for getting the balls and bats. Waterboy gets razzes for aggressively getting the Mayor out, but he was so apologetic that I was laughing. As expected, The Artist gets the best dressed award but I think the designer shoes slowed him on the basepaths.

The first home run was hit by Ben Edwards of Manhattan Construction, but the longest home run was cleary the one smacked by Blake of Joe Momma's Pizza. You can tell the influence of having his south Tulsa restaurant housed at All-Star Sports Complex. Fifteen of us went for pizza at his downtown location afterwards.

We had fun. My family was all smiles and I really enjoyed meeting new people. I hope they have a great picture in the Sunday Tulsa World.

Now, they have to build a ballpark there.

Come and they will build it.

Power is nothing till you use it.

Glad everyone had fun. Thought about dropping by, but me and the missus were furniture shopping.

More for her than me. As long as there's a semi-comfortable couch from which to view NFL games and Netflix DVDs, I'm happy.

History was made on a pleasant morning in downtown Tulsa. I was glad to see the Mayor made it and that she can hit. Some of her detractors would have enjoyed me putting her out at first, but she didn't seem to mind (though she did leave shortly after). I'm not one for taking it easy on the female players! PonderInc showed signs of having played earlier in life and the kids were great. One of them told me "I've played this game before". I responded, "So have I. Doesn't seem to matter much though".

The view from the new stadium is going to be choice. We should all have a plaque with our names on it somewhere near the entrance.

Here's the Tulsa World story.

Six-year-old Eva Patton takes a practice swing before batting at a ball game where players brought their own balls, bats and gloves to the field at the corner of Archer Street and Elgin Avenue.

It was my first time ever playing baseball. I actually got brave and went up to bat a few times. After they showed me how to stand and hold the bat, which way to run, etc. I actually hit the ball a few times. It was difficult though. Ponder would throw these blazing fast balls that would shoot past in microseconds and that seemed to miraculously change directions in mid-air. Suprising really that anyone hit anything.

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

I have seen the Mayor throw out the first pitch at a ball game.

She is a way better batter than pitcher.

Am very sorry I missed this, looks like those that made it had fun.
Thank you,

Sorry I missed it too. I had to watch 3.5 hours of agonizing football at Chapman Stadium. Everytime Johnson threw the ball you could hear the entire crowd hold their breath.

Y'all will know better than to turn down a TulsaNow sporting event. You see what happens when you do that now, you somehow messed with the whole Feng Shui of Chapman stadium and caused TU to lose.
