This is not the Bill Richardson I used to know.

Gweed, you really need to get over your obsession with our President-Elect.

He won.

He's taking office two weeks from tomorrow.

Please.  At least get back to posting stuff about his lack of proof of citizenship.  It's so easy to make fun of you when you do.  Posting stuff implying 'guilt by association' is doing you and other conservatives no good.  He's been through that already with Blago.

[:D]

Obama been through a scandal with Blago? You mean, because Obama said he did nothing wrong then he did nothing wrong.\

As far as citizenship goes, reread my posts on that subject. I am against these supreme court challenges re: citizenship.

Nope, it's because the special prosecutor said he wasn't involved.  But whatever floats yer boat Gweed.  Keep on keepin' on!

[:O]

Citation please. All I heard was Fitzgerald commenting that Obama was not implicated in the Blago case. That does not mean his administration was not implicated or "involved."

And another thing, just because Obama won, and I have accepted that, does not mean he is above criticism. I am going to be just as hard on this guy as you and many others in this forum were on Bush. Believe that.
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.

Richardson withdrew his name from nomination because of the investigation. He has not been found guilty of anything. He told Obama that nothing was wrong, then now has pulled his name before he causes any harm to Obama.

I don't see any wrongdoing of Obama.

Power is nothing till you use it.

Never said that either, but would you be any harder on Bush?  Doubtful.  I NEVER questioned anything in Bush's past.  I just didn't like him as a president, as did many other conservatives.

Plus, he was an intellectual midget compared to who we're getting.  I'll miss Letterman's 'Moments is Presidential Speeches'.  He won't have any material now....oh wait, he's got 8 years worth in queue I'm sure from our outgoing President.

And then there is the Norman Hsu trial commencing on Jan. 12 (remember that guy?):

I'm actually sad to see Richardson go.  He had a fairly strong free-market platform and was in the economic "know."  He has done pretty well for the economy of New Mexico and in private industry (he's actually BEEN in private industry).

I fear a replacement by a life long government drone.  A commerce secretary that has been a bureaucrat his entire life is kind of like a professor who has never actually done anything other than academics trying to prepare me for the "real world" of whatever field they teach.  They may be very knowledgeable, but until you actually DO SOMETHING in that field there are pieces to the puzzle you may fail to grasp.

Actually, you make it really easy in proving my point about nec-cons and the pre-inaugural bashing by using rehashed McCain talking points.

But whatever floats your boat, Gweed...

we vs us

What's the point, Guido?  What's the argument you're making here?  That Obama's already risen to the level of the Bush Administration? That Bush hasn't deserved the criticism he's gotten? You're confusing "being hard" on the president with "partisan hackery."

You know darn well what my point is. I am going to give (and I expect the media to give--ha ha)Obama the same treatment Bush got.  If you think that pointing out the fact that Richardson is involved in a grand jury investigation in a "pay for play", which apparently is what Hillary might have been doing in 2004 and what Blago is going to be indicted for (gee, who has something in common with each of these people), is political hackery, I can't help you.

More to your point, you tell me if the following was not political hackery: Walter Reed hospital? Bush's fault;  Plame "outed"? Bush's fault; Abu Ghraib? Bush's fault. Then  there is Bush stealing the 2000 & 2004 elections and his apparent sole responsibility for the so-called NSA wiretaps "scandal". Oh, I guess that was just "criticism" in your eyes.

Thanks for recapping.

Damn, he was a sucky President.

So wait.  All that stuff is just people piling on for partisan reasons?  Abu Ghraib?  NSA wiretaps?  How bout Katrina?  You're telling me there's nothing genuinely wrong with any of this stuff?

Keep going!  This is just beautiful!!

As I've said before, my opinion, however inconsequential it may be, is that Gweed, with his baiting by posting links to articles that appear to be scandal-filled for the Dems, is essentially the lite-Repub version of FOTD.

At least he doesn't paste two pages of text into a post, I'll give him that much.

Are you telling me there's nothing genuinely wrong with Obama having possible "pay for play" persons in his cabinet?

I notice you conveniently overlooked Bush stealing elections as partisan hackery and that the dems were actively involved in the wiretaps "scandal"

Nope, not at all.  Are you telling me there's nothing wrong with institutionalized torture (Abu Ghraib), institutionalized incompetence (Katrina), or institutionalized domestic spying (NSA wiretaps)?
