Hey gang, I found some youtube video's of my favorite jogging trail and the place where I first took up the sport of running back in 1980. If your ever go to Texas pack your running shoes- Much of trail looks the same, some areas have changed since my day. The Trinity trail is one of my favorite jogging trails, the trail has it all.. http://youtube.com/watch?v=2YKYMZzW0Tk  The other video is of the southern part, full of Texas wildflowers in the Spring. http://youtube.com/watch?v=G7XDUlSBL88&feature=related

The video is shot by a guy riding a bike on the Trinity jogging trail, but it makes me feel like lacing up my running shoes, back in the 1980's I ran that trail almost every day I'd go straight from work and run 4 miles, and on weekends I'd do my 10-mile runs. I have not seen that trail since 1991.  The trail was only 18 miles long in the 1980's, but I understand today it's 35 miles long. The trail has no street crossings so it's non-stop running and no cars. Texas has alot to offer.. [:)]

Looks like some decen't scenery and trails for Fort Worth. The parts shown there can't touch the new trails here though[:)]. We are sooo fortunate Mr Kaiser and others have started to upgrade the trail system here. They look night and day different now. Just absolutely wonderful. I really hope they continue adding more upgrades and park spaces. Am kind of excited to get out there and try out the new sections this spring.

Those who think it is a luxury have only a fragment of a mind. Mans spirit grows hungry for art in the same way h

The Trinity Trail in Fort Worth is far away from all road traffic (except in one area by University Drive) and is full of wildlife. I don't know what the new RiverSide Trail will look like, but the Trinity Trail is hard to top. I work in marketing and travel alot for my job so I get to run many trails in many cities, and IMO The Trinity Trail is tops. It's my favorite place to run. Many times when there is a strong western wind some cyclists have told me they can really fly down that trail with no street crossings to worry about it's all non-stop (only if they ride when the trail is not busy many time the trail is very busy) I'm just a runner I don't ride a bike much I never could get into cycling as a sport, so I can't really say much about cycling. I ran my first mile on this trail back in 1980 when I first took up the sport of running and I been running ever since, Not much has changed on the trail, some open fields are today full of apartment buildings, a bridge near the Hulen street underpass is new. Anyhow, It's a great trail to do a good run on when you visit Fort Worth, Texas, I have no idea how old that trail is or when it was first built, but it's well kept and smooth most of the surface is cement. They have markers at every mile only, no half mile markers like RiverSide trail has. [:)]

I finally got out to do a quick 4-mile run in cold Ohio. I can't run good when it's cold. I felt like a stiff board. The pictures of Texas really look good to me right about now. Warm weather & sunshine[8D]
