I don't think he gets discredited on this forum. He has only been discussed on one thread that I know of.

He filed a complaint that he later withdrew. End of story.

Mr atkins did not withdraw the Complaint.
He could not say that a sentence in the report that was flawed was true.
If you will read the report from the third Party Ethics Hot line that was sent to the council you will find that that report is very flawed.
And if one will investigate further and get the report that was given to Fox news you will find that information from the Ethics hot line is very poorly done and FLAWED!.

SO again there is a difference between thinking and KNOWING.

Chip, Knowing, whatever, who on earth is Chip and did he/you (obviously) ever have any credit to "dis"?

What exactly is the part that was not "FLAWED" and what documentation do you have to support his/your claim(s)?

The document that was sent to the city council was Flawed by the ethics Hot Line Service.
I would advice you to go to the city hall and ask for a copy of it.

You will then read how flawed it is.

They the Hot Line Service missed typed sentences and combined sentences in it.

Then go to Fox chan. 23 and get the one that the council said was like the one that have.

If and when you do this you will find they are not and will open you eyes to how the city council did the investigation of their own ethic complaint.
KNOWING

You are missing the point, I'm asking what "facts" that were in the complaint were flawed? From what I have read it's pretty clear cut, two councilors were accused of getting some sort of benefit from the approval of the location of the bank and no evidence  was supplied or available to back up the complaint.

From what I can tell Fox23 never saw any evidence of anything either. I can accuse you of being a partially trained and badly shaved bear cub that hasn't yet been fully housebroken, but it doesn't make it so.

So, Mr. “Knowing”, right now, what is the specific accusation of wrong doing that you are making, who are you making this accusation against and what is your evidence or at the very least what are your specific and reality based reasons  to believe that your accusations are truthful?

And let’s be clear, if your source is a something you read in the Tulsa World comments section or on one of our local crackpot blogs you certainly can consider yourself “discredited” and you must attend at least three 9/11 troofer meetings as punishment.

Read the diatribe(sic) that is the true issue here.
Get a copy of it, has I have done and read it

After you have read it you will truly understand the true unjustice that has happen.

One will think it is all BS until they read the diatribe(sic). After you have done this you will understand what truly happened.

Knowing,

Please just answer the question. Repeating the same uninformative answer is not helping. If you are the one knowing, then we must be the ones not knowing and frankly, the not knowing is killing me.

I don't know who Chip Akins...or Atkins is. I don't know anything about any of it, but now I want to, so congrats on that. You've clearly peaked our interest with your vague answers and accusations.

Please. I beg you. Just tell us what was wrong with the report so we don't have to go get a copy for ourselves.

I went to Fox23 to find this filed ethics complaint but there is no link there.

Im like the rest Knowing, if you want to start a topic and base it on something particular, then post, type or copy-paste both the filed ethics complaint and the one that was provided to the Council.

Without any information, no one can give you an informed opinion.  And if you don't have any of this information, then don't bring it up in topic.

I have seen Chip at many a City Council meeting, he is an avid supporter of his neighborhood and ardent skeptic of new development.  I have wished more times than not that his commentary to the Council be based more in fact than supposition, I believe his comments would be taken more to heart if that were the case.

I wont fault the man for trying but there are times you must pick your battles and if you are ready to get in the mix, you better come prepared...and by that, I mean have your facts and supporting documentation ready.

If his complaint was filed with mere speculation (which it sounds like until someone shows me something to the contrary) then that was wrong.  If there was no hard evidence to back up the claim and he merely made the complaint in the hope that an investigation "might" turn up something, thats wrong too.

I'm not a fan of one of these Councilors, the other I have seen take a lot of heat for his stand on issues but he genuinely seems to have the interests of his constituents at heart.

Chip is a guy who blows a lot of hot air (used to be on the Swan Lake Association) but knows very little.  He is independently wealthy and doesn't have much to do all day but get in other people business.  That's all I'm going to say and this is considered nice compared to other folks I have talked to.
