Tulsa World had no problem linking these stories:

See "What To Do?" page D-1

Man, we look like a big city!

The devil will be dancing with Bruce (The Ministry of Rock and Roll!)

Well have fun, The Boss just doesn't excite me that much anymore.  I felt he sold out when he did "Born In The USA" and really haven't been overly wowed with anything he's done since except for a few singles here and there.  I loved "Born To Run" and "The River".  I just had a hard time getting excited for this one.  Call me a weirdo, that's pretty much an established fact anyhow.

I might have to sneak out and go see BB though.  Kind of like Willie, never know how many opportunities one might still have to see him.

Yep. Sold out every doggone concert venue around the world for decades.

Your link goes to the current days paper. So a bit worthless.

Are you trying to be derogatory by linking to the story saying that you have to pick Bruce, BB, or AAR?

That's not "too many acts, not enough dollars" what you should be reading is "Tulsa has a crapload of great entertainment options now"

cannon_fodder

I thought the same thing Drizzle.  Even page D1 doesn't have anything specific about his contention that there are too few dollars.  D1 talks about the Country Music awards and Carry Underwood.

I reverted to just ignoring the 75% of AOX posts that require effort to figure out what he's arguing or post links/movies with no context or discussion.

I crush grooves.

Well, as somebody who spent a whole month trying to sell Springsteen tickets for 40% or even 50% of the ticket price.  Either 1) people hate Springsteen or 2) People are running out of disposable income or not willing to part with it as much. Maybe its 3)  Too many other things that night.  There are 120 tickets on Ebay right now for the show tomorrow most below face.  If you want to go you might go do a "make an offer" for $20 a ticket.

Most of my issue is the fact that everything is like $80-$150 a ticket for this stuff.  Most of the things we are getting aren't worth that money.  I personally think that Springsteen floor tickets were overpriced by about 40% of market.  1 or 2 concerts skipped and I can take a vacation somewhere.

Hopefully we have enough people with enough disposable income to keep it going!

They need to zone out the BOK Center more. First four rows, charge them $200, next four rows, $150, next four, $100, and $75, then $50 a seat behind that.

Can make the events more accessible financially while getting the same return.

Funny. I'll actually be at a show at The Marquee on Tuesday. Guess I'll have more traffic to deal with than I expected.

Did anyone hear if DMB sold out for BOK on 10/2?  I got my tix, just curious.

smile, that might even entice me to go.  I can listen to the songs I like and put my ear plugs in for the ones I don't.

I would suggest ear plugs for the whole thing.  Earplugs+concert = almost normal volume :D

Maybe that is what happens when a bunch of scalpers try to run the show, they get f**ked by their own greed.
