Anyone here making a near-living on click-revenue?

Just wondered.
Both if it's possible and if it's actually being done locally.

My blog gets about a thousand hits per week and it pays on click-throughs for the ads.  Last year, it returned the whopping sum of $100!

I don't want to think about that on a per-word basis.  Too depressing.

But on the other hand, I've signed on with the OKC Examiner as their alternative transportation examiner.  It pays on a page view basis.  That's far more than the blog.  If I can attract enough readers, it may actually support one of my hobbies, but it will never pay the mortgage.
