Can't WAIT to hear who they have on tap for this year....love me some D-Fest! The last two years have been great, and I expect this year to be even better.

Muffins and Red Bull?  Wow, I would be high and unable to sleep for a month.

"Caution, hard hats required! We will be dropping bombs at this press conference!"

This is either a really dumb ending to an email or some hints as to the artists? Maybe?

Im thinking....

Hard Hats: Maybe Devo? I know they are touring.
Dropping Bombs: ???

I am hoping the rumor mill comes through and the Beastie Boys will make an appearance.

I'll just come right out and say it:

I love Dfest, but their press releases can be...how you say...ridiculous.

I love when Dr. Cox smashes his guitar at the end. Hilarious.

Personally, I am dreading the press conference, b/c that is the day that I find out all the awesome concerts I'm going to miss out on.
Going to be out of the Country for 3 weeks in July.

Of course a few weeks after I book the ticket, I think 'OH CRAP DFEST'  & sure enough, i'm going to miss it by 3 days.

I'm sure its going to be awesome, like last yr. and I'm going to be sad.

this is the second mention of the beastie boys rumor that i have seen/heard.  where is this rumor coming from?  i would love it if it is true.
There is an ancient Celtic axiom that says 'Good people drink good beer.' Which is true, then as now. Just look around you in any public barroom and you will quickly see: bad people drink bad beer. Think about it. - Hunter S. Thompson

I keep my underwear up with a piece of elastic.

Had tix to see the Beastie Boys & RATM in Dallas in 2000 or 2001....that was canceled due to a shoulder injury suffered by Mike D.

I wouldn't be upset in the least about missing a potential Fall Out Boy show, though.

Fall Out Boy would be a great choice, if they wanted to kill dfest entirely.

There ability to suck would bring people downtown, whether they want to go or not.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed in another thread...
I don't know what to make of this press release. Not sure if they are hinting at headliners or not. I have been convincing myself since last years event that Kings of Leon will be headlining this year.  They have an open date and would follow along with the past few years theme of having headliners with Oklahoma ties, ie. Flaming Lips, Leon Russell, and All-American Rejects.

keeping my fingers crossed!
