I know the story is two days old, but I saw this interview with Miss Cali on Cavuto's show. Beauty with brains (although I am not against gay marriage). No bailouts/no welfare +1

  That Perez guy just didnt help himself or his cause with that disghusting language and behavior. Quite the contrary.  And, though I may disagree with some of what she said, I very much respect Miss Cali's responses and opinions.

If only one answer is acceptable (according to the Miss. California people), then why do they ask the questions?  If there is going to be a questioning session, score based on how the answer was thought out, put together and presented, not simply on the spoken word of the answer.

I'll shamefully admit I visit Perez's website regularly and enjoy his humor, but I think he, and the Miss America people hurt themselves with this.  That type of question probably had no place in a contest like this (not that I even care).

You know when I first found out about his web site and took a look at it, I swear I thought it was written and presented by a Hollywood drag queen. All the pink and the strong FlaMo language. So when I saw him on the tube the other night I was kinda shocked that he looked fairly normal.
I do not watch Miss this or Mrs that contest but just happened to stop there on the final five. Miss Kentucky should have won but having said that, being that she is from California I also was shocked that she said what she said but she did it very nicely and with class and not offensive.
So he learned if your gay(not that there's anything wrong with that)
dont ask a hetro a loaded question if you dont want your female feelings hurt. Way to go girl and everyone knows she should have beat Miss North Carolina.

If she's dumb enough to say that we live in a land where you can "choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage" when her whole point was that gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry, she deserves every bit of ridicule she gets.

People shouldn't be able to pretend it's opposite day and not be called on it.

She was answering a question in front of a live audience and millions of people. I guess she simply does not have your oratory or quick thinking skill. Oh, and when Obama was dumb enough to say that he visited 57 states or that 10,000 people were killed in a Kansas tornado and I called him on it, I got attacked. Where were you to defend me and those that went after Obama for his buffoonery?  crickets.

One is logical stupidity, the other is just plain misspeaking. You try to generalize that to Obama being an idiot, and people rightfully attack you for that. Many Bush-isms were things Bush shouldn't really have been ridiculed for. Some of them were more like the logical stupidity of Miss California.

I think her problem was that the stock answers in Miss America always have something to do with how America is great and free and so on and so forth. Obviously, juxtaposing that with the opinion that gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry leads to some justifiable ridicule. Holding that opinion is wrong, IMO, but people are free to do so, however, trying to say that people are free to do what they desire when they are not is just dumb.

Yes- I support her 100%. I believe we need a federal const. admentment banning same sex marriage to end this circus once and for all. We can't have a hodge-podge of marriage laws with 50 states. Marriage should only be with a man & and Lady.. Miss. California is not only hot & cute, she rockz too! :D

I think people who oppose gay marriage are wrong, but that doesn't mean I look down on them for it or anything, so long as they are honest about it and don't try to go all 1984 on me.

As far as Obama is concerned, I was speaking of your specific examples. Somehow you decide to generalize that and blast me for other things which I have never stated an opinion regarding.
