Good to hear.  Maybe he learned a lesson too - about the value of positive PR. I would much rather be supportive of this local photographers work. He has some great looking shots

Good deal.  I guess I should have thought of the fact that he was protecting his work by over reacting but open to a reasonable solution.  I'm damn glad because I like his work.

Anyone have information about the hotel restaurant that will be in the Mayo? I can't wait to overpay for a club sandwich just to have a meal in the old hotel.

Went on the tour Tuesday and they said the hotel and the restaurant will be open in 2 weeks.  It looked like they have a lot of work to do to meet that goal.  Can't wait to eat there.  I am pushing for my workplace to have our Christmas party in the Crystal Ballroom.

The work is coming along well though.  I think it is a lot further along then it looks, just the dust covers up so much.  I was surprised to learn that they already have people living in the apartments.

I was suprised as well that they already had people living there.  They are so happy to live there that they don't mind the dust and construction.  They will probably get it done in 2 weeks.  They just built a new Sonic by my house in what seemed like 2 weeks.

There were some people on the TW website commenting that Britney Spears and crew are some of the first guests in the hotel... don't know if that is true though.

I'm impatiently awaiting the night I see the big Mayo sign on the roof lit up.

As an aside, they lit the sign on the Mayo Building at Fifth and Main for a week or so a few weeks back, but not since then. Must've been just testing.

They are working on the sign as I type.  (scaffolding set up arround it).

As far as the Brittney "rumor"... the 4 tour-buses that were at the Mayo when I left work are now in the loading area of the BOK Center (along with 10 others and 30+ semis)...
