I couldn't find an online forum named CowetaNow, so I posted this here.

We are opening our twelve area recycling center tomorrow in Coweta. We have a press conference planned on Monday at 10am.

Our location is right on highway 51 at 121st street. I am next door to the Phillips 66 gas station.

This should be a good center. The town of Coweta has been very supportive, the location has lots of traffic, and the area is booming with new contruction. We will be open seven days a week and my workers will be there in the mornings to help those who need assistance.

It's always good to see new places to recycle.

Michael, any new word on when citywide [non-voluntary] curbside recycling will begin?  I know it was brought up back in March and I haven't heard anything since then.

I doubt anything will happen soon. It is an election year for the city councilors and they keep hearing from people who demand twice-a-week trash and won't recycle.

Until more of us tell them we want recycling, nothing will happen.
