After all this rain, isn't this about the time when shadows complains about the taxes used to support Tulsa's fabulous storm drainage system?  :D

I have known shadows for over thirty years. At least he is consistent on this issue.

We're getting a storm drainage system?  Yippee!

Jesus hates storm drains. And Communists.

Stormdrains lead to Communism.

Damn Commies.

The Temple of David did not have storm drains.
The blood of the lamb ran down the stairs, staining the soles of our feet.
2 feet is 1.3333 cubits.
Picasso was a noted cubist.  If you have cubist and cubits and there's only an s difference.
Many cubists also measured in cubits.
In summary a storm drain that drains 1.333 Cubit feet per second is equal to the volume of the blood of the lamb that ran down the stairs of the Temple of David.

I'm pretty sure that means something totally different to me than it does to you

That's funny, you can tell I've got home improvement on the mind.  I thought he said trowel.

The damn book has sold some 15,000,000 copies, spawned a series of books, a (recent!) Hollywood picture and is referenced constantly in popular culture and the internets.  Ever asked an IRC channel or a bot of nearly any kind what the meaning of life is?  Deep Thought came up with the answer!

You bastards.

But I'm glad you have your towel.  You'll need it only always.

I got the 42.. and the towel... I however didn't get why the meaning of life, the universe, and everything has anything to do with this thread.

Because the name of the computer that came up with the number was named deep thought, same as this thread.

I'm just slapping my forhead for not catching the referance.

It's kind of a thing my department has at work when another department asks a question that most people really should know, we all look at each other and answer, in the form a question mind you, with 'Forty-two?'.

It's usually a pretty large meeting, so we gauge how many people have read the book/seen the movie with that little nugget.  Some of the facial expressions are priceless.  A psych student would love it.

And of course it applies to me on this date, since it is my forty-second birthday.   :)
