I also predict FOTD will make a fat person comment on this thread in the next 24 hours.

Yes, yes, yeeeeessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Wish it was downtown, but this will work.

I hope they have some sort of line so I can enjoy people being yelled at.  "Hurry up, white boy!!!!"

cannon_fodder

"God damn it.  We have fried chicken and chicken fried steak.  Green peas, corn, of potatoes.  This ain't rocket science man.  Damn it.  You're getting chicken."  As the new kid in town stood totally confused and his friends snickered.

+1 on wishing it was downtown.  But I think this place could open up just about anywhere and survive.

FOTD will not be there unless Ila and Nicole are there and that's not likely!

Wow.  That's brutal.

Not compared to Guido's personal attack on the late and the sweet Jim Strader who past away last week leaving an enormous hole in the heart of Tulsa Music. But Guido covered it up by removing it....heartless chickensh!t.

Wow. I hope their food tastes as good as the old buffeteria. If they can capture that ol' cookin' magic, I can see it doing well. Best of luck to them.

What was/is the building across the street on the south west corner of 3rd and Trenton. The two story brick/stone one with the walk up on the corner of the building?

I believe you are reffering to the Church Studio, Leon Russells' former Tulsa recording studio. Was a church at one time, then turned recording studio. It has been used recently, but I do not know its status right now.

Thanks, from the looks I thought it may have been a church at one time but did not remember it being Leon's studio. Had to have been after he tried to put one in his house off of 31st and Lewis that damaged the property beyond repair.

It's still Steve Ripley's studio....last time i drove down by the church, Bob Dylan was out front with SR. Actually, Bob Dylan praises his old guitar player as one of the best in this weeks Rolling Stone. Fooled me. But Zimmy can do that.....Good article on Bob. Great pic of The Dead in the Oval Orfice with POTUS OBAMA. Even better article on the foreign policy set up coming from the NSA....
