This just in, Obama to block release of "torture" pics...after telling us just 3 weeks ago he would release them. I guess he was for the release before he was against it. Of course he's not lying, he's being thoughtful.  :D

Dooshbag Underground and I suspect the ACLU are not pleased:

This is a great example of how no matter how the decision is made you complain and whine.  After just 3 weeks of having time to think about it he changed his mind.  I could definitely imagine that he might did not see all the pictures that would be released until recently.  And some of the reports of children being sodomized on video probably made a difference.

Channel Sy Hersh much?   As to the rest, maybe, just maybe, Obama should not have said he was going to release the pics then?

Incidentally, I do support this decision and do believe releasing the pics would endanger us. I only wish he had been more measured in approaching this issue because now it's a needless "controversy"..you know, ACLU panties in a wad and more Jonathan Turley "torture" crap.

Gweedoedoe, you really want to get into that tortuous administration stuff?

The dems should stay away from getting too deep in this evil Bushevik undertaking because it is the wrong political path. It's a diversion that neither party benefits from but one the rebiblicans really look pathetic in accountability.

The Bushevik leaders from the White House will get a free pass despite mutilating the Constitution and ruining our stellar image of justice world wide.

Schumer is an donkey hat. Glad you found something to pin on him even if it was only 54 seconds and taken out of context which you specialize in....

If you wish to engage in the torture discussion then have at it. Loser you are, loser you will be. There is no good that justifies the use of torture. This is the only way out of being portrayed as the war criminal Cheney is.

A good read: http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2009/05/13/cheney/
The hidden hand of Dick Cheney
Out of office, he continues to push his tortured version of reality -- and his vision of an imperial presidency -- and there are signs he is succeeding.

Cheeney like so many wingers, is self-righteously convinced that he is correct in whatever he decides is "correct". Forget laws and the majority opinion.

Well you tell me what possible context would a statement "do the right thing" when it comes to "torturing" those that have information to save a city could he have been referring to? Here's the text:

And I'd like to interject a note of balance here. There are times when we all get in high dudgeon. We ought to be reasonable about this. I think there are probably very few people in this room or in America who would say that torture should never, ever be used, particularly if thousands of lives are at stake.
Take the hypothetical: If we knew that there was a nuclear bomb hidden in an American city and we believed that some kind of torture, fairly severe maybe, would give us a chance of finding that bomb before it went off, my guess is most Americans and most senators, maybe all, would say, Do what you have to do.
So it's easy to sit back in the armchair and say that torture can never be used. But when you're in the foxhole, it's a very different deal.
Emphasis added.

You really are a moron.

Oh, and here is the inevitable flip flop:

Hmm...former Navy Seal and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura speaks out.

Since he had SERE training, he qualifies as an informed opinion....

Best quote from the Larry King show?

"You give me a waterboard, Dick Cheney, and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders"

Priceless.

Obama doesn't have to do much anyway, especially when Dick Cheney is full-bore on his Self-Immolation Tour.

Yeah, why would anybody listen to the person who broke the story way back in early 2004.
