Anyone else get glued to the tube during the Land Of The Lost marathon yesterday? I couldn't stop watching it. The Michael Landon hair cuts, the clay mation dinos and the blue screen over acting were spectacular.

Townsend

Watched it as long as the wife was occupied with other things.

She doesn't understand the genius that is "Land of the Lost".

I'm scared of the 2009 version.

Be afraid, be very afraid

It does look funny, just from the Will Ferrell quote alone:

"Matt Lauer can SUCK IT!"

Watch the trailer if you're confused.

Speaking of Ferrell, did anyone catch the season finale to SNL- he was promoting LOTL as host. Don't know if I'd go see LOTL, but his hosting gig was classic- especially the last sketch, which has to be seen to be believed.

Rottentomatoes has given the LOTL a 23% score.  If you want to see Ferrell mugging as usual, this is your deal.  If'n yer a fan of the show, skippit.

Ferrell was HILARIOUS though in Men vs. Wild, in which he and Bear Grylls survive for 48 hours in Arctic Circle Sweden.

I've been a fan of his since his days on SNL, and I've always liked his movies. I think his appeal lays in his style and comic sensibility, which is edgy and sometimes subversive in his humor, and yet completely accessible, anybody can enjoy it; I understand this is a reflection of his work with the Groundlings. For my money, his best stuff was Anchorman and Talladega Nights- hilarious.
