What do you mean, so what? You made it out that her 15 minutes of fame were somehow "up", yet she is still a national figure. If you think back 8 months ago, you will recall that she got 50 MILLION plus people to vote for her.   Why are you so threatened by Palin and Prejean? Do they scare you? Awww.

You and your mommy issues.

I don't give a crap that a large number of people fell for it.  As long as not enough fell for it.

It's almost up.

Prejean?  She was the winner of a "I'm pretty" contest.  No threat.  I'd just rather hear about things that effect me, not Trump's empire.

Come to think of it, even Palin lost her last "I'm pretty" contest.  That's how they ran her..."she's pretty".

Yeah Letterman, it's not as if Palin is still the governor of the largest state and just drew 20,000 people to see her in New York or something.

Largest state in Land Area, it is the least densely populated state, and ranks #47 in total population.  Guido, I admire your ability to spin the numbers even though your spin is completely misleading.  There are less voters in Alaska than there are in Oklahoma.  That is reality.

Afraid of Palin or Prejean,  no,  I do feel sorry for them.   I am not afraid of women with strong stands.  Women who make their sex the major link in their stand I feel sorry for them.  Women who have no problem being who they are, I admire them.   Prejean will become a talking head with Fox News so that they can showcase her sexiness on one of their shows wearing the short skirts and not having to be too serious in interviews.  Palin,  I do predict she will also end up on Fox as a commentator maybe backing up Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity as the female voice like Megan Kelly does now.  Good for them,  Carrie will have the start to an interesting future and Sarah will be able to bring home the paycheck her husband doesn't seem to do.   Didn't you know that Joe Scaraborough is the new head of the Republican party.  Those women have no chance against the redneck from Pensacola.  And I know he is a redneck because I grew up in the town next door to Pensacola.

I do feel that David Letterman went too far with his jokes.  And the fact that Chelsea Clinton was called a Dog by Rush does not make it anywhere near right.   Both were wrong.

As to the 20,000, that was a crowd of true believers.   She was not drawing in anyone who did not worship the Queen of Alaska.   Sort of like if a rock group from the 70s played the new BOK arena, they are not expecting any young folks interested in learning something new.  The crowd knows what to expect and gets testy if they don't get it.
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

I think Sarah Palin was McCain's affirmative action choice over the more qualified and campaign tested Mike Huckabee.

Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that...  :P

Predictably enough... a conservative blames Obama for this... on Hannity, no less...  :D

I saw that. Also, Monica Crowley attempted to make that link as well. Stupid.

They are hot though, so that makes up for it (a little):

I think that was the death knell of the campaign.  They should have said "She's HAWT!!!"

NY pols are piling on Letterman now:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,526055,00.html

joe and T, Palin remains a very popular republican AND public figure due in large part to dooshbags like Letterman, Chuck Nice, and Katie "I can see New Jersey from my house" Couric. They will simply not let go of a woman that threatens them, just like she threatens you guys. Here is a pro-life, pro-gun rights, fiscal conservative, and reforming WOMAN who is the antithesis of what a "woman" should be like according to the likes of you folks. I know, Palin should have aborted Trig, and Bristol should have aborted her child, Palin should not be hunting or fishing but rather get her a$$ back in the kitchen, and how dare she use a tanning bed.

Here's of all folks MSNBC commenting on the mindless "rabid" attacks on Palin:

http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/checker.aspx?v=ydaG2GkUSU

and joe, it's not about spinning the facts. The facts are what they are whether you choose to accept them or not. Palin is a huge fundraiser, party energizer (ask Saxby Chambliss), crowd draw, and according to McCain the reason he got as many votes as he did. Other than Obama, name me any political figure that can draw like Palin? And way to attack those 20,000 people as "true believers". Couldn't possibly be that she is popular and they accept what she believes in. More to the point, I guess those that would appear at an Obama event would be true believers too, right?

I just love it when dems/rinos try to tell GOPers who they should support and why.
