The New York Port Authority has announced it will be "removing" 2,000 Canada Geese from the airport and surrounding grounds to avoid aircraft engine damage.

Sounds nice, sounds like they are going to "the farm" where my dog Dusty went when I was 10.

Are they going to use traps, or big nets?  Perhaps they could extend hunting season in the surrounding counties and states to thin the numbers?

Nope, under the new program, the PA will train airport supervisors as certified shotgun instructors, and allow them to shoot geese on the ground and "relocate" them to the trash.

Lets see, 2,000 geese, that's about 6,000 - 10,000 lbs of meat.

Seems like that would feed a lot of people.  Way to go New York.

They could at least feed the geese to Great White Sharks off the coast to satisfy Jessica Alba.

Man, I hope so.  I see that butt shot of her and something to do with a screen door banging in a tornado comes to mind.
