Don't care.  I just want the 'Hard Rock Tulsa' t-shirt to add to my collection.

It's been over a year since I worked out there, and still refuse to return to that pit of corruption.  It pains me to see that now that we finally have a Hard Rock here it is on the side of that place.  I'm surprised to see that is says Hard Rock Tulsa, and not Hard Rock Catoosa (though most people would wonder where in the heck that was).  However, all of this personal spite aside, the original plan called for the Toby Keiths to be located in a seperate building on property.  Unless Keith changed his standing on this (and I doubt that he did), it will most likely still be build this way.  This is a part of the reason why Cherokee bought out so many businesses there, like the motel, the gas stations, and the diner that used to be there that I can't for the life of me think of the name of it now.

You are thinking of Paulines! My dad took me out there a couple times when I was younger on the way to my grandmas house in Inola.  They had a great buffet.  And after talking with people from the seminole tribe, they said they make more money on the Hard Rock Casino idea then they do the actual cafes.  They are starting to steer away from the cafes and go to the Casinos.  It makes sense to me.  The Seminole Tribe of Florida flys in to Tulsa on a private G5 plane every couple of months to check on and play at the casino.  They definitely keep part of our economy running! they spend the money here

I just wanted to vent about the new "Hard Rock" hotel,
well first, there will be no cafe, which is the foundation of the hard rock,
but instead, they are going to open a Toby Keiths inside.
Now what respectable "Hard Rock" would allow this, over their own Hard Rock Cafe?

well, Cherokee will continue to own and manage the hard rock, so is it a hard rock at all? or just a sign?
looks to me like its just a big sign and a way to sale t-shirts and crap.

and plus, dont they have a country music section? come on.

The Hard Rock Hotel in VEGAS doesn't have a Hard Rock Cafe...

Whatever your position regarding Indian gaming in Oklahoma, it is clearly here and it will be here for a long while.  The rebranding of the Cherokee Casino as a Hard Rock is good for the Cherokee and good for the area.  Unlike some of other casinos in the Tulsa area, the Hard Rock is successfully positioning itself as a destination for out-of-towners. I was recently told that the hotel is typically sold out every night except Sunday.  Even taking into account some promotional spin, that is amazing to me.  As a Hard Rock, it's regional draw will only increase.  Oh, and I think Pete Townshend's union jack guitar is pretty cool.

It's not typically sold out, however, it does generally have a high occupancy rate, something above 75%.  The more amazing part of that is the little motel that they bought and renovated constantly matches occupancy percentage of the Hotel.  So if the Hotel is 80% occupied, so is the motel, or close to it.  I will say that they did a lot of work bringing that up to par.

That's what I said. He was griping about the in-hotel restaurant. In neither case did they build a hotel and put a HR cafe in it. Should I point out Planet Hollywood where the restaurant a hotel are a half mile apart?

I was told that a Hard Rock Cafe could be coming just outside the casino Stay Tuned

Personally, I'm exited about the possible irony of having the Hard Rock Cafe sponsor Dfest.  I'm not saying it is in the works or even a possibility, I just think the irony would be fantastic.

Yeah, I think one of the stages was even called "The Hard Rock Casino" stage.

Tried to be snarky.   I was thinking "Hard Rock Hotel and Casino presents Dfest" would be an ironic moment.  But the Hard Rock stage didn't hit me as strange at all when I saw it, or even now that I think about it. I failed.

/tried to come up with an excuse, I have nothing.

how would that be ironic, The Hard Rock sponsoring a rock show.
Irony would be The Tulsa Philharmonic sponsoring DFest.
