The Attorney General's Office didnt look into OHP's perjury regarding the road-rage attack on a Paramedic, nor the embezzling / timecard fraud at the Governor's mansion, but they are taking abuse of the 'state birds' seriously:

AG's Office seeks OHP probe
Misuse of aircraft by top Highway Patrol administrators is alleged.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The state Attorney General's Office is seeking an investigative audit to look into the possible theft or embezzlement of aircraft parts at the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

In a letter to the state Auditor and Inspector's Office, First Assistant Attorney General Tom Gruber said no evidence has been presented to back up allegations that OHP aircraft were misused by top administrators.

He suggests, however, that state auditors take a look at a book that logs all flights.

Gruber sent the letter Thursday to state Auditor and Inspector Steve Burrage requesting an investigative audit to look into criminal and other types of misconduct.

So, is it still a good idea to exempt the OHP and DPS from the Open Records Act?
It seems politicians are more interested in erecting 10-commandments monuments to their own godliness than keeping government responsible to the people.
