Medlock to Bartlett: 'Anytime, anywhere.'

Republican mayoral candidate Chris Medlock on Friday challenged GOP rival Dewey Bartlett Jr. to a one-on-one debate "anytime, anywhere."  Even though there are nine other candidates battling for the Republican nomination in the Sept. 8 primary election, Bartlett and Medlock are considered the likely top vote-getters.

"If Dewey lacks the confidence to defend his positions on twice endorsing Democrat Kathy Taylor and then voting (while on the airport trust) to give $7.1 million of taxpayer dollars away to Kathy's friends in the Great Plains Airlines scandal, how can he ever back up his ads that claim that he is a conservative to the Republican Party?" Medlock questioned.

Bartlett, a former city councilor and president of Keener Oil & Gas, was not immediately available for comment. Medlock said the two have an incredible diversity of opinion on the issues. "And I will contrast my conservative values against his left of center positions anytime, anywhere," said Medlock, a former city councilor and former radio talk show host.

I am in favor of as much political discussion as possible. But shouldn't they include some other candidates...especially ones that are ex-elected officials like Anna Falling?

Love the "I'm crazy as a loon" file pic they always use for Medlock.

So what, Chris(tian).

And w t f does Dewey's endorsement of Taylor and the repayment of an obligation have on the future issues confronting our city? Chris(tian), attack him for his positions on solving our local current and future deficit or his environmental issues. This tactic will not help you much but it will green Dewey out for the final debates against Perkins and Adelson.

Neither one of you understand the concept of having integrity.

If this devil were you, Anna Bannana should be your monkey since both of you come from the same crowd.

There is a scale of republicans with your extreme right going for Falling or O'Connor and the more moderates going for Bartlett and maybe Streetman. Medlock's shooting for the middle and the less moderate candidates are the same ones who where on Colin Powell for backing Obama. Their are people in both parties who will refuse to support you if you ever supported someone from the other party.
