U.S. casualties are mounting in Afghanistan, forty four deaths this month.

Where in the he!l is the daily "body count" or the ol' "if it bleeds, it leads" crap from our media? Why aren't they making a daily demand for an exit strategy or calling for Robert Gates' firing?

For what it's worth, any one of our lost soldiers is more of an American hero than the  swimmer, whose death is most important story now, and who of is course being lionized by this media.

Sheehan's well past her depth.  I think that's pretty well documented at this point.  I think her original idea captured a lot of the zeitgeist of the time.  Since then her politics and her message have really been muddied.

I really think she had one good and compelling idea.  The rest is dross.

And I don't care that she's protesting Obama.  She's welcome to it.  I just don't think what she's saying is clear at all.

Who's the swimmer?

No.  That's actually not what I said.

This is what happens when someone "harasses" Obama's health care policy:

The cop's doing his job... he doesn't explain the law very well (obviously not a lawyer) and is likely to take this nasty, despicable attempt at free speech personally and as a racist affront... the protester is a typical attention whore pig-- call the prez a fascist?

Sorry, but you're on school grounds there, smartypants.

Who's the swimmer?

Ted Kennedy.

Anyone who gets Gweed's panties in a wad is worth my admiration.
Maybe I should rethink my previous negative impressions of Teddy.

When I was young, in elementary school, I lived in Frederick, MD and Sargent Shriver's brother lived down the street from us.  They had two girls that were 5-10 years older than me and we would go over to their house to swim. His daughters even used to babysit my brother and I, they were very nice people.
