Medlock now relegated to the dust bin of local politics?

After this primary in which he lost by a huge margin, I certainly hope so.

Wrinkle

Tulsa lost, and due mostly to their own indifference.

Now, left to decide between two of the same parasites which eat away this City and representative government in general.

It'll be interesing to watch the power brokers work, though.

It's money vs money on this one.

Who wins no longer matters.
More of the same.

I don't think Medlock is through in local politics.

Virginia Jenner, Accountability Burns, Paul Tay, and Lawrence Kirkpatrick have shown him the way.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Personally, I'd like to see Medlock out-Burns Accountability.  He's really not much more than a bitter, cynical honky with a superiority complex.

Medlock lost because people have long memories about his immaturity and impulsiveness.

Hell, Bates' own endorsement of Medlock was one of the most tepid I've ever read because of those issues. The endorsement reopened questions of whether Medlock had the temperament to be mayor.

Memory?  Hell he started up with the 8th grade student council act in his ads this go 'round.  I didn't need to burn any brain calories by digging into the vault to see and hear all that again.

da whirld's Bartlett endorsement was not much more exciting either.  He WILL lose in November.

Oh jeez. I saw one of those TV ads. The one thing I thought was: "Chris, you need to lay off the caffeine before you get in front of the cameras."

I think he was trying to seem passionate and energetic, but looked more hostile than anything.

Yep.  Count on twhirld to marginalize anyone who might re-negotiate those 40-year water contracts.  If there's anyone who has truly over-stayed their welcome in this town, twhirld might go Soylent Green.

Medlock? He should be finished.

Why would someone with a Hate Radio program--a man who makes his primary income through a talk show that spread divisiveness--think for a second that he could get people to work together as our Mayor?

The whole concept of his running just shows how completely idiotic the man is. Rush, Hannity... all the BIG boys know you can have one, or the other, but you cannot have a talk show AND run for office.

Stupid Okie.

Megaolmaniacs don't get that concept like you and I do, Hawkins.

Um, Hawkins...you might want to brush up on current events there.  Medlock has not been on the radio for months now after losing his show on KFAQ.

Only caught his show a few times but when he would talk about an issue, at least he sounded informed if often times one sided and unbendable.  I do believe in politics, you need to be able to bend some to include everyone.

rwarn...I've gotta agree with you on the Batess endorsement.  Also seeing the effigy of Bartlett at this last press release at the Tulsa Press Club left me a lil confused.
