I think this warrants its own thread.

I am sad to say I stole this from FOTD.

Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck 1
Census Workers -1

Congrats Sean and Glenn, it must be nice to see your goals actually coming to fruition.

The FBI is investigating the hanging death of a U.S. Census worker near a Kentucky cemetery. A law enforcement official says the word "fed" was scrawled on his chest.
The body of Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old Census field worker and occasional teacher, was found Sept. 12 in the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky.
Investigators have said little about the case. A law enforcement official, who was not authorized to discuss the case and requested anonymity, tells The Associated Press the word "fed" was written on the dead man's chest.
FBI spokesman David Beyer said the bureau is helping state police determine if Sparkman's death was the result of foul play, and if so, whether it was related to his census work.''

I have heard on ABC news radio that the area in which he was found is notorious fro pot farms and meth labs. They found his truck with his computer and othe effects still in it, so it sounds like he made have walked into some ones drug lab, or pot farm.

Meth labs?  Pot Farms?  Most likely killed by someone who is a-political.  I love the libs trying to blame it on far right political activism.

It's Kentucky.  Meth and pot is how the political machines raise money.

I dunno about that whole pot/meth thing.  Why would you attract the FBI with something so gruesome?  If you're cooking your meth in the Daniel Boone National Forest, you certainly have plenty of space to make a body disappear.

Conan, why don't you think it's plausible that it could be political?

Fine, done by a bunch of anarchists.  I guess that makes it quasi-political.  Happy now?  ;)

"He's not just a symbol of right wing violence, he was a father and cancer survivor and an example of the American dream.

We have long been leery of the violent rhetoric that right wing hate mongers like Glenn Beck have been stirring up (as has DHS, of course), but whenever someone dares warns that their words could incite true violence, FOX and the GOP come out and knock them for putting violence in peoples' heads. It's a perfect trap, except that, now, people are getting killed as collateral damage from this game."

Has there been anti-census wingnuts in the past? Are they that paranoid?

WOW! JUST FREAKIN WOW!

"Then Bachmann went after the census workers, saying she was worried that the information they collected might be used to put Americans in concentration camps. Then on 9/12/09 a census worker is found hanged near a cemetary in Kentucky, his corpse desecrated with what appears to be anti-government language carved into his chest."

You don't have to say "go lynch Census workers".  You, or you have somebody on your show talk about how they are going to use the census to put people in internment camps.

This is one of the heroes of fox news (and was on Glenn Beck to talk about the census).

"Take this into consideration. If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the Census Bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations at the request of President Roosevelt, and that's how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps," said Bachmann.

She didn't say that they were going to do it.  But the people who watch fox news are able to pick up on this sort of stuff now.

You have the guy who says Obama has "a deep-seated hatred for white people."
Have people on his show that says that the Census was used to put people into internment camps.

Take the "activist" judges rants from fox news.

in 1996 there were 201 threats on federal judges
in 2005 there were 943 threats.

This stuff isn't unrelated.  You turn people into the enemy and this is what happens.

The person/people that killed him is to blame.  But if this is politically motivated, these people wouldn't connect somebody asking them how many people live in their house with ruining their lives if it wasn't for the right wing.

Daily Kos is damn accurate. And let there be no doubt about the fact that this homicide is directly linked to people who don't want to be in your community. Mine neither. And the Michele Bachman's, Rush Limbaughs, and Faux feeders may not get through to these disconnected "Americans" but they certainly prevent our National community from rising up against hate in unison. It's shameful how we all agree it's an outrage but for the wrong reasons. A christian nation my a$$.
