Gang, Have any of tryed that new "Additive" thing that Murphy gas sells at one pump- I dunno if all Murphy gas stations sell it or not. I went the to station on Adm. & Memorial (Wal-Mart) and  they offer 3 grades of the Additives that they claim is real good, the top dog grade #1 improves the power and even lubes the rings and shines up the valves it says. Grade # 2 does a little bit less and grade #3 is the economy cleaner- I didn't want to spend the extra money I was wondering if anyone used it and if it worked good. The additive is added as you pump the fuel I understand- ???

Marketing gimmick so they can charge you more than the sign price at the curb, I'd guess.  Just buy your gas somewhere else that already has all the additives, like QT.

Do they have QTs in Omaha...ah, he must be in town on business, so he'll think he's up to speed on everything this week.

You do remember they have a Long John Silvers at 21st/Garnett still, right?

Yep, I'm looking at the receipt from last week...it's also co-branded with A & W.  I know because I've sworn off Captain D's since I got food poisoning from them just after I graduated high school.

The additives are extra at the Murphy station and it's only sold at two pumps, the other pumps do not offer it- from what I understand the top grade costs you $9.99, so if you pick grade #1 it will pump into your tank a pint or so of additive first and then give you 7 cents discount on the fuel price as you fuel up. If you buy less than $10.00 of fuel the additive thing does not dispense at all. The 2nd grade is cheaper & the 3rd grade is the economy grade, but you have buy enough gasoline to cover the cost of the additive. I guess no one tryed it.

Omaha is flooded with QT stores- The Long John Silvers at 51st & Harvard is the one I go to. BTW-want to know about a real busy QT store, try the one just outside St Louis Missouri, off of I-44 and route 109 Exit #264 in Eureka Missouri, it's 4am Saturday morn and the QT shop is busy & rockin' I kid ya not. All I can figure is some near-by company just got out of work. St Louis Missouri has QT stores all over. Anyhoo, I'd hate be  at the QT store at exit 264 during a week day, if that place is rocking like Grand Central Station at 4am, just think how busy it must be on a weekday at 8am.. Yikes. :-X
