NASA's LCROSS Explorer will send a probe crashing into the Moon later today, with impact occuring tomorrow (FRI) at about 6:30am CDT.

Rain clouds will likely prevent local viewing, but one could probably find coverage on TV. Also, NASA-TV will be playing online at:

yet again more reasons I wish Cox would offer the NASA channel.

I predict that it will hit the one spot on the moon that will cause the entire thing to shatter, loosing it's orbit, and coming down to earth in a rain of fire.

NO! NO! NO!  That's not the way it will go down.  The heat of the impact will convert the Swiss cheese the moon is made from to become cottage cheese.

So it's our fault and not just a "runaway planet".

Other than that, they saw the future...

Earth? Wait, what network did I connect to this time?  Damn I need to keep those icons straight.

And yes, it is our fault.  They went with the runaway planet because a well placed hit on the moon just didn't seem fesable then.

Those guys look... eh nevermind.  I already got in trouble once this week for talking about gay people.  These two guys do look really happy though.

My projection for tomorrow afternoon's news: Earth's moon gains new, permanent, orbiting, saturn-like ring.

I wonder if they still train those guys to be real guards...

Supposed to be the Swiss Elite Forces.  I'm guessing the outfits are to throw you off.
