Psychologists Conclude: the GOP is Nuts!
by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

The GOP is not a political party; it's a crime syndicate! It is also described as an irrational, kooky cult that cannot deal with facts or logic but is freaked out by 'scary images', 'boogiemen' and vague or even non-existent threats like terrorists, commies, liberals or normal sex.
"Conservatives respond instinctually [sic], not rationally, to scary images, "facts," and institutions. Whether this is innate and biological or cultural seems still up in the air. Democrats can't win with logical arguments or even appeals to the innate rightness of concepts like "diversity" and "tolerance," because those aren't considered essentially good and important by the voters they're trying to appeal to. This does suggest that an appeal to old New Deal institutional concepts like the Welfare State might actually be effective, if they're wrapped in the flag and a sense of duty. Also scientists still consider the majority of Americans to be like a fascinating exotic backwards tribe and the bucking country is doomed."
--Scientists Explain Why People Vote For Republicans
Much of this new research is consistent with Carl Jung's 'The Undiscovered Self" in which he said that about one third of any population is certifiably psychopathic.
Psychopaths are often defined by their 'utter lack of empathy', a phrase used by Dr. Gustav Gilbert who was given the task of keeping Nazi war criminals alive until they could be hanged.
Conservatives Are Scared A Lot..."

A majority can't deal with facts and logic.  That is why they are so useful to have and so easy to control.  Those in power don't actually believe this crap.  It is just a way to get votes so at least feel a little better with that FOTD.  Look at the anti-abortion issue.  Republican House, Republican Senate, Republican President, Majority Republican Appoint SCOTUS.  What did they accomplish on the issue?  Nothing.

Why?  Because that is a political hot-potato, regardless of what letter precedes your name on your Congressional business card.  Officials know that if they alienate women who like to know they have the choice, they would be doomed at the ballot box.

I've said time and again morally, I'm against abortion except in special cases.  But, as a social liberal, the gubmint needs to stay out of morality issues.  I've said before as well, the conservative base screams keep the government out of my healthcare, but yet they're all for banning choice.  These same people also were screaming when the decision was made to end life support for Terry Schiavo.  It suits them to tell government to stay out of healthcare unless it pushes their agenda.  Republicans are not the only ones that do this, either.  They just make a bigger deal of it.

No, they don't do anything because morons will keep voting for them for this single issue no matter how much inaction they have :D

Don't feed the trolls.  This cut-paste job is clearly just trolling for a response.  If you don't feed them, they go away.

Here Groovie,
WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

While political activists on the other side of the spectrum have made similar observations, Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to "the vast right-wing conspiracy."

For more than 35 years he has diagnosed and treated more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.

Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by both Barack Obama and his Democratic primary opponent Hillary Clinton can only be understood as a psychological disorder.

"A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do," he says. "A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do."

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:

creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
"The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

Why Do We Have to Listen to this Crap? Republicans Should Sit Down and Shut Up!

http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/2009/10/whylistentothiscrap.html

" Of course, we know they're delusional. And yet, no matter how delusional they are, the press gives them a soapbox, where they will get to say whatever they want, and no one will ever call them on it.
And there's a lot to call them on. Have you ever bothered to look at the relative safety, security and economic stability of the red states versus the blue states?  Well, I have. When you compare the red states with the blue states, you end up with proof that right wingers are delusional about their heroes, and are ultimately not worthy of  any respect."
