My vote goes to Rick Santelli:



Like the tea partiers or not, Santelli created a moderately sustainable and influential political movement. Anyone with an alternative (countdown to aox linking to an Olbermann special comment 3...2...1)

Oh yeah, the guy who has no understanding of economics or politics but who can scream loudly about smile that isn't actually happening. Yes, definitely someone I should listen to. (Done enough of that already, thanks)

And you're such an expert of economics that you've worked on the floor of The Chicago Board of Trade reporting on treasury auctions and bond trading for CNBC?   You are a former Vice-President at Drexel Burnham Lambert in charge of Interest Futures and Options?

Appeals to authority normally don't mean much to me. Much less so (about zero) when the authority claimed is completely irrelevant to the credential purportedly being established. Perhaps Santelli has some education and experience in economics, but his ranting doesn't make that case on its own. Feel free to dig that up if you continue to have the desire to defend some blowhard TV pundit.
