As much as some people think forum discussions are stupid, facebook takes the cake. I've gotten in the middle of several discussions regarding the potential layoffs and the problem is that you can't correct anyone. Someone mouths off that we should've diverted the construction costs of the BOK center to the city budget and you try to explain "county vs city," "capital vs operating," etc. and five minutes later there is someone starting the same fight over again.

Must.. remember.. to disengage brain before accessing facebook....

Yeah, because something that we voted on in 2003 would have been legal to divert to the city coffers (never mind your correct statement about city vs county funds).

I use facebook for entertainment value mostly.  I think there is only one regular poster on here that is friends with me.  It cracks me up to see people with literally thousands of friends.  Myself?  I have 62.  Because I know all of them, not because someone I know knows them.

Facebook is not a forum for serious discussion, don't even try.  Just banter about lunch, the weather, or other nonsense to amuse far flung friends and family.

Face it, you are just unpopular  ;)

If by unpopular you mean I don't see everybody's status updates every effin 5 minutes, then yes, I'd rather remain unpopular.

If you're in my circle of friends on FB, you haven't pi$$ed me off yet.

I hate to think what it's going to be like once I hook in an IPhone in June...

;D

iPhone facebook is a bit better at some aspects, worse at others. The main bad thng I've seen is that you can clock "farmtown" and crap from your facebook wall, but they still show up on the iPhone.

Holding out for the iPhone 4g?

Yesterday on FB, my other pseudo name account, there was a message from BH of JFJO that he got busted and jailed by LAPD for putting up posters of their show on poles....

But even better were the world wide posting of back room pics from the good ole Magicians Theater daze!

I believe FOTD on FB is likely even more fun to watch than FOTD on here.

I love facebook.

I try to write something every day. It is good to push yourself into relevant thoughts.

I also have many funny friends and it is great to share laughs with each other.

The weird thing is how many requests I get from people I have never met to be friends. Why would they want to be my friend on facebook if they really don't know me in the real world at all?

It's your pics....you look like Santa Clause to the environmentaly conscious ....besides, those family pics make it just too hard not to want to be one of your friends.

I like reading what you have to say on Facebook.   It usually makes me laugh.

We did meet once.

You don't remember?

Hint, think Lafarge methane dedication.   I came up and introduced myself.

I'm crushed if you don't remember.
Trust but verify

RecycleMichael

I do remember meeting you.

I do like to write jokes on facebook.

To many people take Facebook way to serious. I use it to locate old friends from work and school days.
I just asked a Female sales rep that is new on her job if she had a F-book page.
She sounded a little startled that I asked her and proceeded to explain to me how her page is personal, and she only shares it with friends and family, and if we get to know one another better she may friend me.
Im one of those who friend everybody. Its all about fun and wasting time during my 10 hour day, Five days a week. Its just not that serious. I have local celebs, fighters, actors, singers etc.etc.
I do play Farkle on there, and I refuse to get involved with the Farmville or Mafia Wars.
Michael is on my friend list and no I have never met him, but I have seen him on the news.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Do not invite me to Mafia Wars.
Do not invite me to Farmville.

I hate them both.  I have dropped some of my friends on there because of it.  Not because I'm no longer their friend, but because I hate what FB has become in that regard.  And the iPhone has done much to promote it.
