Man Sues OTC To Get "I'm Gay" On Vanity Plate

I don't see anything patently offensive about it, but personally, I'm thinking this guy is painting a target on his back:

If he gets it, I wonder how much time he will waste filing hate crime claims every time his car gets keyed or his house gets vandalized. 

"Norman - A Norman resident has sued to get a proclamation of his sexual preference on the Oklahoma license tag he displays on the back of his car.

But state officials have declined to provide 28-year-old Keith Kimmel with a vanity tag that says IM GAY, and now he's suing to get it. The Oklahoma Tax Commission turned Kimmel down last year because of an internal rule against special license tags that "may be offensive to the general public."

The political science-pre-law student at Oklahoma City Community College filed suit Wednesday in Oklahoma County District Court. His suit asks District Judge Noma Gurich to order tax officials to grant his application for the IM GAY tag."

Personally I'd like to get a tag that says:

6ULDV8 or IMSTR8

The only other witness than the cops is now dead, so I'd say this gets swept under the carpet.  I'm also skeptical that his death was the result of his injuries, as I believe it would have happened sooner unless he had an embolism wind up in his heart or lungs.  Here's a copy of his affadavit:

I poke far more fun at heteros than I do gays. 

Self-loathing, attention seeker (per the lawsuit, comments on his blog, and the flaming red mohawk all say: "Look at me!"), apparent substance abuse... there's a pattern.  You tell me.

The death following his complaint of brutality does raise red flags. He clearly showed scars from the incident.

His death could have been a result of the beating, could have been his weight/ drinking and related heart problems, could have been from someone he pissed off. He did get in trouble because he was causing problems at the bar.

It also could be either George Bush's fault or Osama bin Laden's fault as well.
